Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery.
Today, together with Director Bae In-ho,
we will look at a procedure that improves the double chin and jawline with high satisfaction and a fast recovery.

As you can see in the photo, this is a female patient in her 30s who disliked the feeling of fullness along the jawline.
From the front, there is a protruding look, and from a 45-degree angle, there is also a double chin appearance.
In addition, the jawline is obscured and not clearly visible, and from the side there is a thick appearance,
so the jawline does not stand out well.

So the recommended procedure was double chin liposuction and jaw lifting (Elastiqueum).
To briefly explain the procedure, first, the fat around the face is suctioned out.
It should be done well around the jawbone, centered on the jawline, and the neck line where the double chin is should also be carefully treated.
A wide area must be well liposuctioned, down to the lower area where the threads will be inserted.
Because the lifting effect also varies depending on whether liposuction is performed, the liposuction must be done very well.
That is why it is important to perform liposuction over a wide area, and after the liposuction,
Elastiqueum threads are used to fix the skin inward.

Elastiqueum is a non-dissolvable thread and has the elasticity of a rubber band.
It is inserted along the jawline, and the thread passes through the area marked in red in the photo below.
When inserting this thread, a small opening is made behind the ear, the thread passes in the direction of the arrows,
and then comes through the opening behind the opposite ear to create a knot.
Because of this, there is a small opening of about 5 mm behind the ear, but in reality it is almost invisible.

In simple terms, after removing fat, the area is pulled up with threads.
You can think of it as being held in place like when you pull a necklace tightly and it catches.
What is important here is that the path of the threads is spaced apart from one another.
It should not be pulled in only one direction; it needs to be held with some spacing,
so that it is not pressed only along a single line, but rather across an area, which is the key point.
This photo shows the condition one month after surgery.
At a glance, you can see that the shape has changed a lot, and the most dramatic effect is from the side.
The previously invisible jawline now appears clearly along the bone.
From the side, you can also see that the double chin has tucked inward.

Postoperative photos may differ from reality due to the shooting environment, lighting, makeup, and other factors.
Results vary by individual, and through an accurate consultation, you can check the procedure results that are appropriate for you.
Also, people with a visible double chin often tend to have a slightly smaller lower face.
Some people have a small lower face, so even a slight weight gain makes the double chin much more noticeable,
and some people have skin that becomes a bit loose after contour surgery reduces the jawbone size.
In this case, the patient also had chin filler, and you can see that the chin tip looks a bit sharper.
Because the jaw muscles were somewhat strong, chin Botox and a little filler were added,
so not only the side view but also the front view improved greatly.

Today, we looked at how to improve the double chin and jawline using facial liposuction and Elastiqueum threads.
This procedure is surprisingly effective, simple, and has a fast recovery period,
and because patient satisfaction is very high, it is a procedure we often recommend to patients.
