Let's put it bluntly.
AB's 'Elegant Nose Surgery'
Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery.
Today, together with Director Kim Ju-yeon,
we will learn about elegant noses :)

Patients who come to see me often ask most frequently about a nose that looks natural yet glamorous,
about this kind of elegant nose surgery.

What does 'elegantly' mean?
Originally, patients who come to see me often ask for a nose that looks natural yet glamorous.
The guardians next to them, or doctors who are hearing this for the first time,
might think, if it should be natural, then make it natural; if it should be glamorous, then make it glamorous—what on earth does that mean?
It can sound a bit strange,
but patients who want an elegant nose like a glamorous nose,
feel a sense of rejection toward something that looks too artificial if it is made too glamorous,
so I think they use it to mean, "I like a glamorous nose, but please make it without a feeling of artificiality."

Usually, people think a natural nose line means a low nose and a glamorous look means a high nose,
but a high nose that makes people wonder, "Is this a nose that has clearly been done? Is it natural?"
is what is called an elegant nose.

That's right.
The 기준 for what counts as high actually varies greatly from patient to patient.
What matters is making it suit the forehead, the brow bone, the midface area, and the position of the chin tip,
not just raising the height without considering the harmony of the entire face;
doing so may result in a nose that looks artificial rather than elegant.

'Features of nose surgery unique to AB Plastic Surgery'
Other clinics may all be different, but when it comes to nose surgery, there are some directors who only do very natural, low noses,
while there are others who only do high noses.
Including myself, the directors at AB Plastic Surgery seem to have a fairly wide range in the scope of nose surgery.
Some people come hoping for surgery that looks so natural that no one will notice,
and we tailor it to that;
and there are also people who want the maximum result possible from their nose,
asking for something that is obvious to anyone who sees it.
I think the advantage is that the range of surgery we can do is broad.
At AB Plastic Surgery, when patients come to us, we try to match that range as much as possible.
However, the nose that most of our patients who visit AB Plastic Surgery seem to like the most is the elegant nose.
In the end, it seems that the reason nose surgery at AB Plastic Surgery is popular is because so many people come looking for an elegant nose. :)

The term 'elegant' was actually created by patients.
In order to achieve the shape and feeling of the nose that the patient wants,
we started by doing surgeries tailored to celebrities or sample photos that patients brought in,
and as noses that were described as natural yet glamorous came together into this kind of line and height,
patients began calling them elegant, natural yet glamorous noses,
so it seems that AB Plastic Surgery became associated with elegant noses in that way.

'An elegant look = AB?'
Because patients keep coming to AB Plastic Surgery, they often say, "Ah! They do elegant noses well!"
We did not make up that expression ourselves;
it arose simply because patients kept saying it, so it is not actually a term we created.
These days, younger people probably shortened the long phrase "natural yet glamorous" into a more concise expression.

For example, if a mother, an older sister, and a younger sister all come together, the four people will each have very different standards for what a beautiful nose is.
When a patient brings a photo they want as a reference,
we explain it based on that, sketch it out, and so on,
and through that process we can truly find the nose the patient wants, and in the end
we proceed with surgery according to the patient's desired preferences.
However, there are parts of the nose that can make it look artificial.
Even if we do the same high nose, compared with a natural nose, the bridge between the eyes may be too high,
the bend of the nose may be too excessive,
or the tip of the nose may show through too much.
Preventing these artificial-looking elements when performing a glamorous nose
is ultimately, I think, the core of AB Plastic Surgery's elegant nose.

People bring in a wide variety of references depending on the time period, but for over 10 years, the photo they have consistently brought in the most is of 'Shin Se-kyung.'
I wouldn't say Shin Se-kyung's nose suits everyone,
but some people say her photo looks glamorous, while others say it is the most natural,
and they seem to keep bringing it in consistently.
