Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery.
Today, together with Director Ma Seong-hwan,
we will look at photos of a patient who had surgery at our AB Plastic Surgery clinic
and learn about male rhinoplasty.

If you look at the photos of the patient who had surgery at our AB Plastic Surgery clinic,
you can see that the tip looks blunt and short from the front.
From the side, the bridge is not low, but it is not high either.
Also, there was a hump and the tip of the nose drooped,
so the overall nasal line was far from a clean, glamorous line.

The patient wanted a straight nose with a refined look.
It seemed important to remove the hump and lift the tip sufficiently
while improving the length of the nose.

Because the forehead projects quite far forward, the tip also needed to be brought forward significantly,
so it was judged that sufficiently strong costal cartilage was needed as the material for the columella.
In addition, to prepare for the skin tension that can occur when improving a short nose,
and the possibility that the tip may feel firm as a result,
it seemed necessary to use autologous dermis at the tip.
The nostrils look slightly wide from below, but improvement is possible with a change in nostril height alone, without nostril reduction.

If you look at the photos after surgery, you can see that the tip has been well corrected from the front.
Compared with before surgery, the blunt feeling has been greatly reduced, and the nasal line looks sharper from the front.
If you look at the nostrils, you can see that their width has been reduced compared with before even without nostril reduction,
and the forehead and nose now connect in a natural line while the tip has been raised, creating a satisfying nasal line.

A straight nose means, quite literally, a bridge line that falls in a straight line.
A straight-but-slightly-curved nose refers to a line that has a straight feel, but the tip is lifted a little.
And a soft curved line means a line in which the bridge takes on a curved shape like the line of a Korean bridal shoe, with the tip lifted.

Men generally tend to prefer a straight nasal line,
but the most important thing is the patient's own preference.
Not all men uniformly undergo nose surgery in a straight shape.
Before surgery, it is most important to decide on the desired line together through sufficient consultation.
"Photos after surgery may differ from reality due to the shooting environment, lighting, makeup, and other factors.
Results vary from person to person, and through an accurate consultation, please check the procedure result that is suitable for you."
