Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery.
Today, together with Director Jo Dongpil,
we will review the before-and-after photos of a patient who underwent three-point facial contouring surgery at our AB Plastic Surgery clinic,
7 months after surgery.

First, let’s take a look at the patient’s facial condition before surgery at AB Plastic Surgery.
Overall, the patient had a small and slender face,
but there was prominent cheekbone projection visible from the upper angle,
and the chin was short, showing a recessed chin shape.
Because there was generally little facial volume,
the side cheeks and temples appeared slightly hollow.
After considering these factors, we decided to proceed with surgery.

From the side, the angle behind the ear was not actually very large,
and in such cases, when performing square jaw surgery, it is especially important to carefully refine the angle below the ear
and avoid removing too much.
From the side, the mouth appears quite protruded and the chin appears significantly recessed,
and from the 45-degree view, the cheekbone and front cheek appear slightly sunken.

Now let’s look at the facial shape 7 months after surgery.
Compared with the preoperative state, the 45-degree cheekbone now falls into a very natural line that connects with the temple area.
Since this was a case with very little facial volume before surgery,
we were concerned whether the overall balance would be maintained after contouring surgery,
but in practice, after surgery, it can be seen that the line from the cheekbones to the side cheeks and chin forms a smooth oval shape.

From the side, it can be seen that the recessed chin has improved, making the face look slightly longer and shifting the chin tip forward.
As a result, the protrusion of the mouth has improved significantly.
Next, as the cheekbone at the 45-degree angle has been reduced, the front cheek now appears slightly more prominent,
which gives the overall face much more dimension.

About 7 months after surgery, it can be said that the swelling has mostly gone down.
Right after surgery, for about a month,
a lot of swelling can cause some concern,
but AB Plastic Surgery is known for surgeries with minimal swelling after surgery,
so there is no need to worry too much about swelling, bruising, or scars.

In this case, because the mouth was very protruded,
special care had to be taken with the surgery for the recessed chin.
This was a case where forward movement surgery was performed for the recessed chin.
Before surgery, we considered whether to use an implant or perform bone surgery,
but after deciding that improvement through forward movement would be best for the patient’s face shape,
we proceeded with forward movement of the bone.
The most important point in this case is that the protruding mouth and the forward-moved chin tip
must fall together in a natural line.
Therefore, too much forward movement can instead make the face look too long or too pointed,
which may lead to an unnatural result.
"The photos after surgery may differ from reality due to the shooting environment, lighting, makeup, and other factors.
Results vary by individual, and an accurate consultation will help you confirm the procedure result that is right for you."
