Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery.
I wrote this post to answer some of the questions many of you have been asking.
Q. The space between my eyebrows and eyes is narrow, and my eyelids are droopy, so I’ve consulted several places, but everyone recommends something different. What are the differences between ptosis correction, forehead lift, and brow lift under the eyebrow?
A. The differences between each surgery are clearly reflected in the procedure names.
Ptosis correction targets the eyes, forehead lift targets the forehead, and brow lift under the eyebrow targets the area below the eyebrow, that is, the eyelid located just beneath the eyebrow.
Ptosis correction adjusts the muscles that help open the eyes, making it easier to open them well.

A forehead lift changes the position of the eyebrows by pulling up the forehead area, and also smooths out the drooping eyelids below. In doing so, the eyelids that were covering the eyes are also lifted, making the eyes appear relatively larger.

A brow lift under the eyebrow involves making an incision along the eyebrow and removing as much of the drooping eyelid as needed. This also removes the eyelid that was covering the eyes, so the eyes appear relatively larger.

When deciding on an eye surgery method, there are many factors to consider, such as eyelid thickness, the degree of eyelid skin sagging, the distance between the eyebrow and the eye, whether the muscles used to open the eyes are weak, the height of the double eyelid crease, and whether the eyes protrude. Because of these factors, the surgical method also varies, so please consult a specialist and make a good decision.
