Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery.
Today, we’ll review the before-and-after photos of a patient at AB Plastic Surgery who underwent eye correction and dual canthoplasty.

You can see that the visible width of the black pupils in the left and right eyes is different.
You can also see a sunken appearance above the eyelids, below the eyebrows.
So, the patient’s first concern was that the eye heights were different,
and they wanted their eyes to look bigger.

Because the skin was thin, there was little fat, and the eyes were not sunken,
we determined that a non-incisional approach would be sufficient for good results,
so we planned a non-incisional eye correction procedure.

You may think that non-incisional procedures are more likely to come undone quickly and that incisional procedures hold better,
but this actually varies from person to person and case to case.
In cases like this, where the eyes are somewhat protruding, there is little fat,
and the skin is thin, a non-incisional method can still hold well.
On the other hand, if the eyes are somewhat sunken, have more fat, or have thicker skin,
and the desired line is easy to create when drawn with a liner before surgery, then non-incisional methods can also hold well.
But if the line is not easy to create, we recommend an incisional procedure.

This patient also had enough space to open the outer and lower areas,
so we expected good results with dual canthoplasty as well.
In the case of dual canthoplasty, the outer corner of the eye is incised and extended outward,
and the lower lid is adjusted to expose more of the white of the eye, making the eyes look more refreshed.
In the case of non-incisional eye correction,
we also performed eye correction by creating a hidden double eyelid line while binding the upper muscle together.

This photo was taken one week after surgery.
There is still a little bruising and swelling, but you can see that more of the white of the eye is exposed toward the outer and lower areas.
The line may look larger on the left side for now, but as the swelling goes down,
we can expect it to settle into a more symmetrical appearance.

You can also see that the sunken area in the upper eyelid has been greatly corrected.
And the visible size of the right pupil has come much closer to the left pupil’s visible width.
Although it has only been one week, the bruising and swelling are not severe.

And these are photos taken one year later.
Even though non-incisional eye correction was performed, you can see that it has remained stable without loosening.
The sunken area in the upper eyelid, the vertical width showing the black pupil,
and the newly opened white of the eye toward the outer and lower areas have all remained well even after one year.
The dual canthoplasty effect is also good, and compared to before surgery, more of the black pupil is visible,
so you can still see that the eyes maintain a much clearer and more defined impression.
Photos taken after surgery may differ from reality due to the shooting environment, lighting, makeup, and other factors.
Results vary by individual, and through an accurate consultation, please check which procedure outcome is suitable for you.
Today, we explained a real case of non-incisional eye correction and dual canthoplasty at AB Plastic Surgery.
