Q. Hello.

It has been 10 months since I had breast surgery. My current size is around an E to F cup, and the feel is good.

I may be a little too focused on size, but I wish it were just half a cup to one cup larger ㅠㅠ

So I am thinking about fat grafting...

I am asking because I want to know whether fat grafting into a surgically augmented breast is not dangerous and whether the graft survival rate would not decrease.

First, to give you the conclusion right away, fat grafting is certainly possible if you want additional volume in the breasts.

There are also quite a number of cases where fat grafting is performed at the same time as implant surgery.

🍕 In particular, when there is insufficient skin tissue and breast tissue, breast fat grafting can often be helpful for making the implant edges less visible in the inner and upper parts of the breast and for making the contour look smoother.

However, the point to be careful about is that, since this is still surgery, a cannula for fat grafting passes around the implant, so there is some degree of risk.

Also, after an implant is inserted, a tissue called a capsule forms for about 3 months, so a certain amount of stabilization time is absolutely necessary.

At this point, since it has been about 10 months after breast implant insertion, the condition appears to have stabilized sufficiently. It is a time when surgery is fully possible.

In the case of fat grafting breast augmentation, if a large amount is grafted, the graft survival rate drops and the absorption rate is high, so satisfaction after surgery may decrease. However, for a small additional increase in volume, it can be a treatment option worth considering together with implant replacement.

However, in addition to decreased graft survival as a side effect of fat grafting, problems such as calcification and oil cysts can also occur.

Therefore, after consulting with an experienced plastic surgery specialist, it would be ideal to target only an appropriate amount of volume while considering the skin tissue and other factors.
