Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery.
The higher the nose is raised, the thinner the skin can become. This works on the same principle as a balloon.
Just as a rubber balloon becomes thinner and looks more transparent the more it is inflated, the higher the nose is raised, the more the skin covering it stretches and becomes thinner.
This is a normal phenomenon, so there is no need to worry too much.
However, if you do not like this, possible solutions include:
-
lowering the bridge of the nose, or
-
if possible, replacing it with wider silicone, or
-
adding dermal graft tissue.
However, each of these methods has its own advantages and limitations.
In the second case, the silicone must first match the shape of the nasal bone, so depending on the patient, it may not be possible.
In the third case, the silicone may not retain its original smoothness, and some of the dermal graft may be absorbed.
Therefore, we recommend visiting the clinic in person and receiving a consultation on the method that best suits your situation.
