Hello. I’m Director Seo Chan-eol of AB Plastic Surgery.
I’ll answer the nose surgery questions that many of you have been curious about!
Around 3 months after surgery, the remaining swelling should have gone down, and the stiffness and unnatural feeling should have decreased a lot, so this is usually the time when the nose starts to look really good. But human nature is such that once things start looking better, people worry that it won’t last; if it doesn’t look good yet, they worry even more.
As mentioned above, let’s take a look at whether actions like touching or irritating the nose can have a major effect on its appearance.
In fact, these actions do not cause any clearly large changes.
Touching the nostril area does not have any special effect, and even if you had nostril reduction surgery, there is no need to worry too much. By this stage, the stitches holding the inside in place have become somewhat embedded, so there should be no further major changes as it settles naturally. If an incision was made, the thick part has already been removed and the nostrils are physically smaller, so it is difficult to cause changes.
Scratching inside the nose is also unlikely to cause major problems, but if you irritate it with contaminated hands or materials, it can cause inflammation, so you should be careful in those cases. As for the tip of the nose drooping, it is less likely to be caused by these actions and more likely to happen when the skin is tight and the downward pressure from above is strong, or when the support column is weak.
However, the important point is that the nose is a small structure in the human body, but it is made up of many components that work together organically, so it needs to be handled carefully after surgery.
I hope this was helpful for the question you had in mind.
