AB Plastic Surgery Refined Rhinoplasty - Revision Surgery Case Review

Today, we will take a look at a revision surgery case of refined rhinoplasty together with AB Plastic Surgery.

This patient had already undergone revision rhinoplasty using the septum, ear cartilage, and silicone.

However, because the support was weak, the septum became crooked, causing nostril asymmetry, and the nasal tip was also deviated to the right.

In addition, the nasal tip had dropped, making the line uneven.

Also, compared to the nasal tip, the bridge was not raised appropriately, giving the impression of a nose with only a high tip and an unbalanced look.

To correct the crooked septum, we decided to change the support structure using strong autologous rib cartilage,

and to correct the crooked nasal tip and improve the drooping tip, while also addressing the slightly elongated appearance.

Considering the forehead line and prominent facial features, we decided to raise the nasal bridge further to create more dimension in the face.

The nasal bridge was increased from the previous 2.5 mm to 8 mm.

If you look at the side-view photos after surgery, you can see that the raised nasal bridge improved the facial dimension,

and it connects more naturally with the forehead line.

Also, by raising the bridge in proportion to the nasal tip, the nose appears higher overall while still looking more natural.

If the bridge and nasal tip are raised in proper balance like this, the nose does not look unnaturally high, but can instead create a naturally dimensional look for the face. From the front as well, the crooked nasal tip was corrected and the drooping tip was improved, reducing the heavy and long-looking impression of the tip. If a nose is made to suit the facial features in this way, you can achieve the results of refined rhinoplasty that look natural but show a clear before-and-after difference.
