Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery!
Today, together with Director Ma Seong-hwan, we’ll take a look at a first nose surgery case involving natural-looking nose surgery.

*The surgical results may vary depending on the individual’s situation.
Looking at the front view, you can see that the bridge and tip areas of the nose are spread out.
In addition, the nose tip is long and drooping.
From the side, the dorsal hump is prominent, and the space between the eyes appears relatively low.
Also, because the nose tip is drooping, it gives the impression that the midface looks long.
This patient wanted to correct a straight-but-slightly-curved bridge shape with a certain amount of height and a drooping nose tip that looked long.
To do this, we decided to use a silicone implant to enhance the bridge of the nose, and
for dorsal hump correction, long nose correction, and to give the nose tip some degree of height,
we decided to raise the nasal columella using autologous rib cartilage.

1 month and 5 months after surgery
Looking at the post-surgery photos, you can see that from the front, the feeling of the bridge appearing spread out has improved thanks to the silicone implant placed in the bridge.
The nose tip has also become more refined by correcting the bulbous tip and raising the columella using rib cartilage.
In addition, by shifting the direction of the nose tip toward the head, the long-looking midface has been corrected.
If you look at the nostrils, you can see that even without nostril reduction, the width has become smaller compared to before.
When considering nose surgery, many people come in thinking about nostril reduction as well.
However, in many cases, the shape can be improved without nostril reduction through correction of the columella and nose tip.
So rather than assuming nostril reduction is absolutely necessary, we recommend visiting the clinic and
making your decision after simulating how much improvement you can expect from the actual surgery.

*The surgical results may vary depending on the individual’s situation.
From the side, you can see that there were major changes after surgery.
With dorsal hump correction and bridge correction using a silicone implant, the nose now has a natural straight line,
and you can also see improvement in the drooping nose and the long nose.
In nose surgery, design is very important, but
I think it is even more important to analyze the face before surgery and have a thorough consultation about which areas should be improved.
The materials needed for surgery may differ depending on the desired height and line shape of the nose,
so we recommend explaining the design you want as clearly as possible.
