Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery.
Today, together with Director Ma Seong-hwan,
we will look at photos of a patient who had surgery at AB Plastic Surgery
and review the before-and-after results.

In this patient’s case, they had filler and Hiko procedures before visiting our clinic.
If you look at the front photo before surgery, you can see that the bridge area between the eyes and the nasal bone is low, and the cartilage portion of the nostrils is noticeably prominent.
You can also see that the columella is somewhat set inward compared with the nostrils.

From the side view, the hump on the bridge is somewhat prominent,
and the tip of the nose appears to be drooping.
The patient wanted a straight nose bridge and tip with noticeable height, leaning toward a straight-line profile.
To maintain the height of the tip and make the tip look slimmer, a strong material was needed to support it.
So we decided to use rib cartilage, which was suitable for this purpose.
There are two types of rib cartilage: autologous rib cartilage and donated rib cartilage.
In this patient’s case, they were somewhat uncomfortable with the surgical scar that can inevitably occur when harvesting autologous rib cartilage,
so we decided to perform the surgery using donated rib cartilage.
Also, to improve the low nasal bridge, we decided to use a silicone implant,
and we planned to shave down part of the hump.
As for the filler, we recommended dissolving it before surgery because if it is dissolved during surgery,
it may not dissolve completely, making it difficult to accurately assess the height.
For that reason, we recommend dissolving it in advance before surgery.
Also, in the case of Hiko procedures, if too many threads have been used repeatedly,
adhesion between the threads and the skin can become severe, and during removal the skin may become very thin
or appear uneven and irregular.

These are the photos after surgery.
From the front, you can see that the previously low bridge, which made the contour difficult to see, has been created.
Also, looking at the tip, you can see that the cartilage that had spread out and stood out
has become more slender and gathered together,
and from the side, the remaining hump and the uneven line that made the tip look drooped
have been smoothly improved.

Also, the height between the eyes has risen appropriately, so the line from the forehead to the brow bone and to the nose
forms a suitable angle and does not look excessive.
If you look at the columella, you can clearly see that after surgery, the columella, which had been hidden by the nostrils, has come down slightly,
improving the stuffy impression.

"Postoperative photos may differ from reality due to the shooting environment, lighting, makeup, and other factors.
Results vary by individual, so please confirm the procedure outcome suitable for you through a precise consultation."
Today, we explained this by looking at a real rhinoplasty case.
