Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery.
I’ll answer the nose surgery questions many of you have been wondering about!
Q. When can I get a facial massage after nose surgery?
A: In consultations, quite a lot of people ask this question as well. In fact, similar questions include:
When can I start exercising after surgery, when can I wear glasses after surgery, when can I start wearing a mask, and so on.

The graph above shows tensile strength during the wound (surgical site) healing process.
Tensile strength simply refers to the ability to withstand pulling force. By the 6th week, this strength reaches 80%.
In other words, before that time, the wound is still relatively weak, so there is a higher possibility that it may open or that structures created during surgery may be deformed by external force.
Based on this theoretical background, we recommend in postoperative care instructions that for about a month, you should avoid activities that may put impact on the nose, such as facial massage.
I hope this answered your question.
Thank you :)
