Assessment of Makemidol’s nose

Makemidol had thick tissue on both sides of the nose tip,

and the columella (the central part of the nose) was curled inward.

For these reasons, the nose overall appeared strongly like a bulbous nose, and the alar area was also somewhat wide.

Accordingly, we carefully reviewed whether alar reduction would be additionally necessary while lifting the nose tip,

and whether any further correction would be needed.

By refining the nose tip and bringing the columella outward while lifting the tip, a more sophisticated look can be achieved.

If a nasal bridge is added here, an even more balanced line is completed.

When we asked Makemidol what kind of nose she wanted,

she said she preferred a three-dimensional, glamorous design rather than a natural nose.

Accordingly, we took time to directly check how the nose could change by bringing the columella outward.

At the same time, we explained how the space in the nasal bridge would be filled when the nose tip is lifted.

We confirmed that the possible range of change was wide,

and we organized the improvement direction while also considering the frontal angle.

Ultimately, after refining the tissue as much as possible and correcting the columella,

a surgical plan was established to lift the nose tip and create a three-dimensional line.

Makemidol’s nose tip had the conditions to be lifted sufficiently,

and we planned to match the straight line she wanted.

However, since the area between the eyebrows is somewhat high, we plan to adjust this part so that it connects naturally.

We also considered the functional aspect, and to compensate for the fact that the tip cartilage is positioned downward and the tissue is thick,

we use rib cartilage to build a firm support column,

and apply a method that lengthens and fixes the tip cartilage.

After refining the nose tip to make it thinner and adjusting the height,

we plan to use an implant to fill the remaining space and complete a three-dimensional line.

Q: Will the philtrum become longer?

A: The length will not increase, and the nose tip will simply be brought together and lifted slightly.

However, if you want a more defined look from the front, building a support column with rib cartilage

and lifting the nose tip a little more before inserting an implant can create a much sharper line.

Q: Will it be raised too much?

A: It will not be excessive, and it will be designed naturally in harmony with the face.

We plan to reduce the flared area and finish the nose tip with a rounded shape to preserve a soft impression.

Q: Is this the right line for me?

A: Because the area descending from Makemidol’s forehead is not flat,

a straight line suits her better than a sharply angled line.
