Hello, this is Dr. Cho Gyu-sang from AB Plastic Surgery Clinic.
Today, I will answer a question about rhinoplasty.
Q. If my nose is long, can I get rhinoplasty for a softly curved nose tip?
First, to answer directly: even if the nose is long, it is possible to reshape it into a softly curved nose tip.
A softly curved nose tip refers to a line with a gentle curve extending from the bridge of the nose to the tip.
There is a common opinion that a softly curved nose tip does not suit a long nose well.
This is because if the bridge height is set too high during surgery, the overall face may appear older.
Also, if the position of the alar base is not set properly, the nostrils may become more visible.
However, if the bridge height and nose tip position are set appropriately, not only can an effective long-nose correction be achieved,
but the desired softly curved nose surgery is also fully possible, so please communicate thoroughly with your doctor.
