AB Plastic Surgery and Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital
Sign a business agreement for plastic surgery treatment of facial nerve paralysis (facial palsy)

AB has signed a business agreement with Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital for collaborative treatment of aftereffects from facial nerve paralysis!
AB Plastic Surgery Director Bae In-ho said,
"Although plastic surgery has established a globally outstanding position in facial reconstructive surgery,
most patients who experience facial asymmetry due to aftereffects of facial nerve paralysis
do not know how to treat it and often leave it untreated.
In cases where the lower eyelid becomes paralyzed and turns outward after facial palsy, ectropion surgery may be performed,
and non-incisional eyelid correction may also be used to improve asymmetry in both eyes when they become droopy or half-closed.
Because patients with facial palsy cannot close their eyes well,
the surgery may also be performed as non-incisional eyelid correction with an appropriate line design," he said.
He added, "Even if facial palsy has not improved for a long time, do not lose hope.
Through consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has a high level of understanding of the facial nerve,
it is necessary to find the appropriate surgical method and receive treatment."
He continued, "I am glad that, through this agreement with Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital, which is authoritative in the treatment of facial nerve paralysis,
we can create a better medical environment for patients with facial palsy."
He also shared a meaningful comment, saying, "Based on the specialized skills and infrastructure each hospital has,
we will continue to work so that not only patients with facial nerve paralysis, but also all patients referred through mutual cooperation,
can receive the best possible medical services."
Through this cooperation, improvements in aftereffects for mutually referred facial paralysis patients,
patient convenience, exchange of medical and hospital information, and consultation on medical technology
are expected to be actively supported, leading to positive mutual development between the two hospitals.
AB Plastic Surgery will continue to do its best in the future so that all customers, both in Korea and overseas,
can receive safe plastic surgery medical services
that do not allow even 1% risk.
