[M Medical] AB Plastic Surgery Clinic Obtains KAHF Certification... Medical Services and Technical Capabilities That Have Passed International Standards

AB Plastic Surgery Clinic has officially been recognized for its medical service capabilities for foreign patients at an international standard by obtaining the medical institution evaluation certification for foreign patient attraction (KAHF), overseen by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

The Korean Accreditation Program for Hospitals Serving Foreign Patients (KAHF) is a nationally accredited certification system implemented by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute. It evaluates medical institutions under strict international standards to certify their ability to provide safe and reliable medical services to patients. This certification operates under the Act on Support for Overseas Expansion of Medical Services and Attracting Foreign Patients, and is regarded as one of Korea’s leading medical service certification systems, comprehensively verifying the quality of clinical systems and patient safety management.

The evaluation system consists of the 'Foreign Patient Specialized System,' which verifies the capability to provide appropriate medical services to foreign patients, and the 'Patient Safety System,' which evaluates the quality and safety of care for all patients, including Korean patients.

Through this, the overall operation of the medical institution is comprehensively assessed, and certification is granted only to institutions that meet the standards.

The evaluation items are also very strict. An on-site, in-depth inspection is conducted in line with rigorous international standards across about 140 detailed items, including patient-centered care management systems, the presence of specialized medical personnel, respect for patient rights and systems for preventing medical disputes, patient safety activities, infection control, and facility and environmental management.

In particular, core items directly related to patient safety must meet the standards, and the process is so demanding that certification is impossible if the standards are not met.

During this evaluation, AB Plastic Surgery Clinic was recognized for establishing a systematic treatment system and a medical environment centered on patient safety.

The hospital operates infection prevention and hygiene management systems for the operating rooms and the overall medical environment, and continuously strives to create a care environment that places patient safety first. It also provides a more stable medical service throughout the surgical process through an on-site anesthesiology specialist system.

In addition, the hospital has built a specialized coordination system for patients and a structured consultation and care guidance process to help patients use medical services more safely and conveniently.

Meanwhile, AB Plastic Surgery Clinic received its KAHF certificate from the Ministry of Health and Welfare at the 'Medical Korea 2026' event held at COEX on the 20th, officially recognizing its medical service capabilities.
