Double-eyelid surgery can generally be divided into the non-incisional method and the incisional method.

First, the incisional method creates a distinct double-eyelid crease by making an incision in the skin. It has a considerably low likelihood of the crease loosening. Through the incision, sagging skin can be trimmed, unnecessary muscle and fat can be adjusted, and the shape of the eyes can also be modified in various ways.

The non-incisional method, on the other hand, does not involve cutting the skin, so scars are not noticeable even when the eyes are closed. It creates a natural-looking crease that does not appear artificial. However, compared with the incisional method, the crease may be more likely to loosen over time.
