A) 'Not really'

Because the mammary glands are not an organ that secretes hormones.

In other words, the amount of mammary tissue is not related to the amount of female hormones secreted.

Q) If you cannot breastfeed after pregnancy, what happens to the milk in your body?

A) These days, some people intentionally choose not to breastfeed.

You can think of it as the same situation.

The secretion of the prolactin hormone naturally decreases, so the amount of milk becomes smaller.

And the milk that remains in the mammary glands is naturally absorbed into the body.

Q) After reduction surgery, the mammary glands become smaller. Does this lower the chance of getting cancer?

However, reduction surgery does not remove all of the mammary glands; part is left behind to create a smaller, more beautiful breast line, so checking the remaining mammary tissue is necessary.

Q) If the mammary glands were removed, why does breast pain still occur during menstruation?

A) As the amount of mammary tissue decreases, so does the pain, but it does not disappear.

Q) Can’t you just remove all of the mammary glands?

A) Surgery to remove all of the mammary glands is not breast reduction surgery, but a total mastectomy.

Because this surgery causes the breast and nipple to disappear, I do not recommend it.

Very rarely, all of the mammary tissue is removed and an implant is inserted.

This process does not produce a very natural shape, so it is difficult to recommend.
