Hello.
Piaf Clinic
I’m Lim Jinyoung, the chief director.
Did you click on this article
because of concerns like this?
“Does Jamsil Potenza
really work for pores?”
When you look at your skin in the mirror,
it keeps catching your eye at some point.
The skin texture feels rough,
and the pores seem to be getting larger...
The bumpy texture you feel
when you touch it with your fingertips.
That imbalance that doesn’t even get well covered
with makeup is actually
quite a big source of stress.

Maybe that’s why?
Recently, more and more people have been seeking
Potenza treatments for the purpose of improving pores.
But at the same time, the question people ask
most often is probably this one.
“Will the skin actually
become smoother?”
I really understand this question.
There can definitely be a difference
between the effects described in advertisements
and the changes you actually feel
after the procedure.
So today, instead of simply answering
‘It works’ or ‘It doesn’t,’
I’ll carefully explain
how Potenza approaches pore improvement.
And in what cases it is
more effective.
Now then, shall we get started
in earnest?

Potenza,
does it really work
for improving pores?
To be honest.
Yes, Potenza is effective
for pores.
But there is a condition.
A procedure must be performed
after an accurate diagnosis,
based on your skin condition.
Many people think of Jamsil Potenza
as just a regular laser,
after all.

In fact, it is completely different.
This is a microneedle
radiofrequency device.
Simply put,
it uses needles to reach deep within the skin.
In other words, it is a procedure that
directly delivers radiofrequency energy
into the dermis.
“Doesn’t radiofrequency normally
apply heat from the surface?”
That’s right.

In fact, general radiofrequency procedures
deliver energy from the surface of the skin,
and this is converted into heat inside
to stimulate collagen production.
The problem is that as the energy spreads,
the heat becomes weaker...
so it is difficult to provide sufficient
stimulation to deeper areas.
But Potenza works differently.
Insulated micro-needles
pierce directly into the dermis,
and then radiofrequency is emitted only there.
The surface is barely damaged,
and the energy bursts with heat only inside.
The heat generated here is not just
about warming the skin.

The collagen and elastin fibers in the dermis
contract momentarily and are damaged.
During the process of recovering from this damage,
new collagen and elastin are actively regenerated.
As a result, the inner structure of the skin
is firmly remodeled.
Now, let’s go back to the beginning!
Why do pores become larger?
Is it simply because there is too much sebum?
No.

The most fundamental cause
is loss of elasticity.
When the elastic fibers in the dermis are damaged
by aging, ultraviolet rays, and the like,
the surrounding structure,
which was originally held tightly in place,
collapses.
Then what happens?
The pores sag and
gradually look widened.
And if there is a lot of sebum on top of that?
Like water pooling in a loose tent,
sebum and waste products build up,
making them stand out even more.

That’s why Jamsil Potenza
pore improvement is needed.
It firmly remodels the inner dermis from the inside,
tightly tightening the sagging pore walls.
Over time, the skin texture becomes
gradually firmer, and the enlarged areas
slowly become tighter and smaller.
But please remember this.
Do pores disappear
all at once?
To be honest, that is impossible.
Why?
Because our skin is not structured
in a way that wounds heal immediately
and elasticity is restored instantly.

Skin is, after all,
a living tissue.
In particular, the dermis has a complex structure
in which collagen, elastin,
and fibroblasts are intricately intertwined.
For this tissue to be remodeled,
time is needed.
Usually, the collagen regeneration cycle
is about 4 to 6 weeks.
So for Jamsil Potenza as well,
we generally recommend receiving it
3 to 5 times at intervals of at least 4 weeks.

Because this is not just a procedure
that treats the surface,
but a process that rebuilds the structure itself.
And here is a very important point!
Can Potenza alone solve
every concern?
Unfortunately, not always.
Why is that?
Did you know that there are actually different types of pores?
If you undergo treatment without knowing this,
your satisfaction will honestly
drop, without a doubt.

First, the elasticity-loss type.
This is a state in which the collagen in the dermis
has collapsed due to aging or prolonged
exposure to ultraviolet rays.
As the skin becomes loose,
the pores sag.
In this case, Potenza alone works well.
Because it greatly boosts elasticity.
On the other hand, the acne-scar type.
This refers to a case where, because acne was severe in the past,
the dermis has become hardened
and fibrotic.
The pores are sunken in,
and the surface is bumpy.
In this case, Potenza alone is not enough.
There can be limitations when it comes to
cutting through fibrotic tissue or
filling deep scars.

So treatments such as Fraxel laser
or regenerative skin boosters
may be needed in combination.
To use an analogy:
Potenza is a device that
rebuilds the foundation of a collapsed skin house.
However, every house
has a different situation.
Just as some houses only need the walls fixed,
while others also need a new roof,
skin is the same.
So what matters is not whether you should
get Potenza or not.
It is understanding
what your skin condition is right now,
and what you actually need.
Skin is much more logical
than you might think.

And treatment that understands that logic
is the fastest and most certain.
So if you are still
thinking it over,
please take some time to look closely
at your true skin condition together
with medical staff.
The answer is there.
To summarize.
Jamsil Potenza is definitely
an effective device for pores.

However, it should vary depending on skin type,
current condition,
and the root cause of the problem.
That includes the treatment intensity,
the number of sessions,
and whether other treatments should be combined.
I hope your concerns have become
a little lighter through today’s post.
