As Korean boy groups have become popular around the world, they have raised the appearance standards for men, and this seems to be because men have come to understand the value of their appearance.

In the case of K culture, men actually seem to have a bit of an extra advantage compared to women. In other words, if you compare the value of a pretty woman and a handsome man, a handsome man can be considered to have slightly higher value.

The reason is that, when comparing male students who follow girl groups and female students who follow boy groups, the proportion of female students is much higher, and financially as well, when comparing boy groups and girl groups, there are far more female fans spending money on boy groups than male fans spending money on girl groups.

The reason women like boy groups is that they like them by looking only at the outward appearance and performance that look appealing in real life. As a result, men’s standards for their own appearance have become higher than before, and because the value they place on it is bound to be higher than that of women, the proportion of men getting plastic surgery is increasing.

When posting photos on Instagram, people usually go through a retouching process instead of uploading them as they are.

Once retouching is applied, they naturally end up looking prettier.

But people compare their real selves with retouched photos uploaded on Instagram, and the desire to become like those retouched images is becoming much stronger than before.

Some people even bring retouched photos to plastic surgery clinics and ask to be made to look similar,

and others develop the desire to imitate the appearances of celebrities' videos and similar content,

then come to a plastic surgery clinic and want to make that a reality.

There has always been a 'desire for plastic surgery' in the past and now, but recently, due to K culture and Instagram, people have become much less resistant to plastic surgery clinics than before, and through this, more people seem to be trying to improve themselves.
