You look so tired these days.
Is something wrong?
ㅠ.ㅠ
At first, one or two people may seem fine,
but if everyone you meet
starts saying things like this and expressing concern,
there’s no choice but to seriously think about
how I appear to others.
Let’s imagine this for a moment.
If I were going to a job interview today
or going to a place where I’m being introduced to someone,
how would my first impression look?
and so on.

Until you know someone well,
the image you have of that person
is largely determined by
the first impression.
If you have severe dark circles, others will think of you
not with positive, favorable feelings first,
but with words like
"sick" and "tired."
Even if your eyes are large and pretty like a doll’s,
if you have dark circles,
your impression can only come across to others
as tired and drained,
and this can leave you feeling disappointed
in situations like interviews or introductions.
Did you know that the way to get rid of dark circles
has to be tailored to you?

Dark circles can develop for many reasons,
from circulation problems caused by fatigue
to structural issues with the bones under the eyes.
So the first thing that should be done is
"identifying the cause."
If the cause has not been properly identified,
a disappointing result is bound to occur in some cases.
That is because the amount of fat under the eyes,
the thickness of the skin tissue,
the shape of the bone structure,
and the position of the eyeball
all differ from person to person.
When undergoing under-eye fat repositioning surgery,
you should find a clinic with abundant experience and know-how.

From now on,
let’s look at which fat repositioning method
is right for me.
- When the amount of under-eye fat is not large
Even if the amount of under-eye fat is not large,
removing the fat is not a good idea.
Even if there is not much of it, the fat may be in place,
but the function of the structure that supports it has weakened,
so to strengthen it,
fat repositioning is a better option.
- When the amount of under-eye fat is large
Even if the amount of fat under the eyes is large,
it does not necessarily need to be removed.
That is because it can be repositioned by moving it,
rather than removing it.
Usually, it is moved to the area below the tear trough
and repositioned.
Through this method,
in most cases,
the tear trough fat does not necessarily need to be removed.
- When the eyeballs are protruding (bulging)
If the eyeballs are more protruded than average,
when performing under-eye fat repositioning,
the fat is moved to the area above the bone under the eyes
and repositioned.
However, if the bone under the eyes is significantly sunken
and gives a shadowed appearance,
this can be improved with fat grafting to the front cheek area.
- When the eyeballs are recessed (sunken)
In such cases, if done incorrectly,
it may actually make the recessed appearance worse.
When moving under-eye fat toward the bone under the eyes,
if too much is moved,
not only does the tendency toward recession become stronger,
but the skeletal feeling around the tear trough becomes
even more emphasized.
In this case, rather than moving fat,
it is better to reinforce the supporting structure.
- When the bone under the eyes protrudes in the area of the tear trough
In this case, improvement is achieved not by moving it,
but through procedures such as septum reinforcement surgery.
- When the bone under the eyes is sunken
Under-eye fat consists of three pockets:
inner, middle, and outer.
After identifying the sunken area of the bone under the eyes,
the corresponding fat pocket
is repositioned to that area.
