as if chalk had been placed inside the nose.

When this happens, the bridge line can look angular

and hard from the side.

The biggest cause of this problem is the difference in skin thickness and elasticity.

The skin on our noses varies from person to person

in thickness and elasticity.

People with thicker skin and good elasticity can naturally cover even a large implant,

but for people with thin skin, even a small increase in height can easily reveal the shape of the implant.

If an overly high implant is inserted,

the skin can become even thinner,

which also creates a risk that the implant may protrude through the skin.

That is why, before getting rhinoplasty,

it is important to accurately understand your own skin condition.

Considering skin thickness and elasticity,

choosing a height that your skin can naturally cover

is the key to avoiding a chalk nose.

3. Tip area: ‘11-shaped nostrils’

The third is the ‘11-shaped nostrils’ phenomenon that appears at the tip of the nose.

Natural nostrils have a soft oval shape,

like kidney beans.

At this point, if you try to raise the tip too much,

the nostrils can be pulled vertically and become narrow and pinched,

forming an 11-like shape.
