If you’re 고민 About Rejuran or Rejuto?
Director Park Si-hyeon
will tell you the “decisive difference”

Hello.
This is Obje Plastic Surgery.
As we get older,
the reason our face starts to look different
is not just because of one wrinkle.
As the volume inside the skin decreases,
and the support structure weakens,
the overall impression often
slowly falls apart.
Because of this, recently,
it is not simply fillers or lifting
that are drawing attention,
but procedures that aim to
restore both skin regeneration and volume
at the same time.
In that process,
the procedures most often compared are
Rejuran and Rejuto.
Both procedures
aim for natural-looking changes,
but their mechanisms and areas of application
are quite different.
In particular, with Rejuran,
there has even been talk that it is difficult
to undergo the procedure in Korea,
which has led many people to wonder,
“Then what is the alternative?”

Today, for those who are
trying to decide between Rejuran and Rejuto,
I will organize the similarities and differences
between the two procedures,
as well as practical decision-making criteria.
If you read to the end,
you will be able to judge for yourself
which choice is more reasonable
for your current situation.
What do Rejuran and Rejuto have in common?
In fact, the “core” is the same.
Both Rejuran and Rejuto
fundamentally follow the same principle
in that they use a component called “ECM.”
ECM is also called the extracellular matrix,
and simply put, it plays the role
of a framework that supports skin tissue.

Inside this framework,
key proteins such as collagen and elastin
are tightly interwoven and are responsible
for the skin’s elasticity and thickness.
As we age, this framework breaks down,
which causes the skin to become thinner
and sag.
Rejuran and Rejuto work by
rebuilding this collapsed framework.
Rather than simply adding volume
like a conventional filler,
they reconstruct the skin tissue itself,
which is why
both procedures can be expected to have
fundamental anti-aging effects.
They also have the advantage of
a short procedure time and relatively quick recovery,
which is why many people are interested in them.
What is the difference between Rejuran and Rejuto?
It lies in the “source of the ECM.”
Then why are these two procedures
discussed separately if the principle is the same?
The decisive difference comes from
“where the ECM is extracted from.”
Rejuran uses ECM made by refining
adipose tissue from cadavers.

It is produced by removing the cells
from cadaveric fat and leaving only
the protein structure behind.
Rejuto uses ECM extracted
from donated dermis.

The dermis is a key layer that directly determines
skin thickness, elasticity, and density,
and it is also a structure that is among the first
to be affected by skin aging.
For this reason, ECM derived from the dermis
focuses on creating an environment
that supports the skin’s own structure.
On the other hand, ECM derived from adipose tissue,
which is used in Rejuran, reflects the characteristics
of soft tissue and is closer to serving as a matrix
that cushions volume and gently supports tissue space.
In other words, while Rejuran and Rejuto are both
ECM-based procedures,
Rejuran can be interpreted as focusing more on
improving the soft-tissue and volume environment,
whereas Rejuto is more directly focused on
improving the firmness of skin structure
and dermal density.
Because of these differences,
when the skin has become thinner and overall
elasticity has declined,
Rejuto, which uses dermis-derived ECM,
is often considered the more suitable option.
Where can you receive Rejuran and Rejuto?
Overseas vs. Korea
Another difference that should not be overlooked is
“where you can receive it.”
Rejuran has received FDA approval in the United States,
but it has not yet received official approval in Korea,
so it is difficult to undergo the procedure here.
Since it is only available at some overseas clinics,
getting the procedure means dealing with the hassle
of traveling abroad,
and the cost burden is not small either.
By contrast, Rejuto is available in Korea.

After consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon,
the procedure can even be performed on the same day,
so it is much more accessible.
In the end, if you are expecting the same effect,
there is a choice that can be received more safely
and conveniently.
If you have read this far,
the similarities and differences between Rejuran and Rejuto
should be a little clearer.
Both procedures use ECM
to rebuild skin tissue, so in that sense they are the same,
but
when you look at the source of the material
and the accessibility,
Rejuto can be a much more reasonable choice.

Most of all, the fact that you can experience
verified results safely without going overseas,
and that you can receive a customized procedure
that matches your skin condition
through sufficient consultation with a domestic specialist,
is Rejuto’s biggest strength.
However, whichever procedure you choose,
what matters most is accurately determining
whether it is right for you.
Skin thickness, elasticity,
and the areas you want to improve
must all be considered together
to achieve a result without regrets.

If you are wondering whether Rejuto is right for you,
I recommend getting an accurate diagnosis
through professional consultation.
Director Park Si-hyeon of Obje Plastic Surgery
carefully reviews the source of the material,
the refining process, and the mechanism of action
inside the skin,
and then carefully determines the areas and extent
that require treatment based on the patient’s
skin thickness, elasticity,
and pattern of aging.
In addition, for all anti-aging procedures,
we avoid excessive changes,
and we consider results that do not look unnatural
even as time passes
to be the most important standard.
We hope the information explained today
helps you make a wise choice,
and
we cheer you on as you build a more resilient skin
and a more energetic daily life.
This has been Obje Plastic Surgery.
Thank you.
