Hello, this is Objet Plastic Surgery.
When you look at rhinoplasty reviews,
the photos right after surgery may look beautiful,
but in updates from a few years later,
you often see that the nose has changed from how it first looked.
The tip may droop,
the line may become unnatural,
or the overall impression may change.
Rhinoplasty is not just about
making the nose look good right now.
It must suit your face,
and it must be able to keep that look
over time
for it to be a truly successful surgery.
At Objet Plastic Surgery,
we call this a “jaryeonko.”
Today, I’ll explain exactly what jaryeonko means,
and what conditions need to be checked
to create this kind of nose.

Q1. What does jaryeonko mean? Is it simply a natural-looking nose?
Jaryeonko means
a natural and refined nose.
Here, “natural” means
that it does not look obviously operated on
and suits your face.
“Refined” means
it also has a clear and tidy impression.
So rather than following a trendy line,
jaryeonko focuses on creating a balanced nose
that matches your own facial proportions.
For example,
even if the currently popular nose style
is high and pointed,
if it does not suit your face
or your skin cannot handle it,
you should not force yourself to follow it.
Instead, it finds the most harmonious height and line
for your face,
creating a look that is both natural
and refined.
Of course, no matter how well it suits you
and how beautiful the nose is,
if the shape does not last,
it does not mean much.
So to help the nose we create
stay in place over time,
there are conditions you need to know.
Q2. What makes a nose that stays the same over time different from one that changes?
Then, what is the most important thing
if you want to create a nose that does not change
over time?
Many people first think of the material or the line,
but in fact, what matters much more than that
is skin availability.

The skin is the outer layer
that covers the shape of the nose.
No matter how well the internal structure is made,
if the skin cannot handle that shape,
problems will eventually arise.
For example, think of a pouch.
If you force too many things
into a small pouch,
even if it seems to keep its shape at first,
over time it will stretch
or tear.
The same applies to the nose.
If you try to make it too high
or too raised beyond what your skin can withstand,
even if it looks fine at first,
it may look different after a few years.
That is why, during consultation,
the first thing to check is
“How much is possible with my skin condition?”

Without this question,
if you start with the line or the material,
you may end up making a plan
that does not fit your condition.
Q3. Is it okay to bring a celebrity photo to the consultation?
If you understand the meaning of jaryeonko properly,
your consultation approach should change too.
Many people bring a celebrity photo
and say, “I want a nose like this,”
but in fact, that is not a good way
to receive an accurate consultation.

That is because whether that nose is possible
on your face
cannot be determined from a photo alone.
What really matters is
the condition of your own nose.
You need to first check things like
how thick the skin is,
how much availability there is,
and what condition the existing cartilage
and bone structure are in.
Only then can you create a realistic plan
that says, “This is possible up to here,
and going beyond this would be too much.”
After that, it is appropriate to discuss
how the line should look
and what materials should be used.
If you start by saying,
“Please make it a straight-turned-up line”
or “Please raise it with this material,”
you are talking only about the shape
without checking the conditions first.

Then, even if you get the shape you wanted at first,
there is no choice but for it to become
twisted or change over time.
Today, along with the meaning of jaryeonko,
we talked about how to maintain a nose
that does not change over time.
Jaryeonko places importance on
a balance that suits your own face.
Of course, it is also important
that such changes last for a long time.
To do that,
checking skin condition comes first,
and the key is to create the shape
stably within those limits.
Director Lee Kyung-muk of Objet Plastic Surgery
first checks the patient’s skin availability
and structure.
Rather than aiming for an excessive height or angle,
they carefully determine the range possible
under the current conditions,
because they value creating the most natural
and stable result within that range.
From the consultation stage,
setting a realistic plan along with a full explanation
of the conditions,
is considered the first step
to maintaining a satisfying nose over time.
This has been Objet Plastic Surgery.
Thank you.
