Lower blepharoplasty review?
Surgery recommended by Director Kim Hyun-jo
for sagging under-eyes!

Hello.
This is Obje Plastic Surgery.
When you start looking into surgery because the area under your eyes has sagged,
there are more cases than you might expect,
which can be confusing.
Some people say they had lower eyelid fat repositioning,
others had lower blepharoplasty,
and there is also something called dual lower blepharoplasty...
"What on earth do I need to get?"
Once that thought starts to come up,
it can actually feel even more frustrating.
In fact, the reason people look at lower blepharoplasty reviews
is not only because they want to know the results of the surgery,
but also because they want to confirm which procedure is right for their own eyes.

But it is difficult to understand that 기준 from reviews alone.
That is because the condition of the under-eye area
is different for each person,
and the surgery method needed
also differs accordingly.
So today,
I want to talk about something many people are truly curious about,
namely, the criteria for deciding
"which surgery is right for me."
If you read to the end,
you will be able to judge a little more clearly
which option is appropriate for you.
What is the right method for me?
<Selection criteria>
Surgery to improve sagging under-eyes
is broadly divided into three types.
Lower eyelid fat repositioning, lower blepharoplasty,
and dual lower blepharoplasty.
Which surgery is appropriate
depends on the condition of the under-eye area.
First, lower eyelid fat repositioning
is a method that makes an incision only inside the conjunctiva
and repositions the fat.

Because there is no visible external scar
and recovery is relatively fast,
it is a procedure often chosen by people in their 20s to early 30s.
However, this method
cannot address sagging skin or muscle.
If not only the fat but also the skin itself has become stretched,
or the muscle has sagged as well,
lower eyelid fat repositioning alone
will make it difficult to sufficiently improve under-eye aging.
In such cases,
lower blepharoplasty is needed.

Lower blepharoplasty
involves an incision along the lower lash line,
from the inner corner of the eye to the wrinkle area at the outer eye.
After that, the fat is repositioned,
the sagging muscle is pulled and fixed,
and the stretched skin is removed.
This is generally considered a procedure
applied mainly when under-eye laxity is clearly visible,
especially in people in their 50s and older.
But there are people who feel,
"I’m somewhere in between."
In other words, the skin has stretched a little,
so fat repositioning alone feels insufficient,
but lower blepharoplasty feels too burdensome.
In such cases,
what can be considered is dual lower blepharoplasty.
What is different about dual lower blepharoplasty?
I’ve summarized the <differences>
Dual lower blepharoplasty
can be seen as an intermediate step
between lower eyelid fat repositioning and lower blepharoplasty.

First, the fat is repositioned
through a conjunctival incision,
and then an additional incision is made
below the lash line.
At this point, unlike lower blepharoplasty,
the incision is not made from the inner corner of the eye,
but only from the middle portion.
Because the incision range is reduced by about half,
the visible scar is also generally much smaller.
Then the stretched skin is removed,
and if necessary, some of the sagging muscle
is also pulled upward.

Because the incision range is smaller
than with lower blepharoplasty,
there is less tissue damage,
and the recovery period is also relatively faster.
However, dual lower blepharoplasty
is not suitable for every eye.
If only the under-eye fat is protruding
and there is almost no skin laxity,
there is no need to make a skin incision unnecessarily.
On the other hand, if skin and muscle sagging
has progressed severely,
lower blepharoplasty may be more appropriate
than dual lower blepharoplasty.
In the end, the important thing is not just looking at lower blepharoplasty reviews,
but accurately understanding the current condition of your under-eye area.

Lower blepharoplasty vs. dual lower blepharoplasty,
choose like this!
In actual cases, when lower blepharoplasty is needed
is clear.
It is when there is a lot of protruding fat under the eyes,
while skin laxity is also clearly visible,
and the muscle has sagged as well.
In such cases,
the under-eye hollow appears deeply sunken,
and the overall sagging impression
becomes more prominent.
At this level of condition,
fat repositioning alone is not enough
for sufficient improvement,
and the skin and muscle need to be addressed together
in order to expect a fundamental change.
On the other hand, if the fat is protruding
but the skin laxity is not yet severe,
and the muscle sagging is also minimal,
dual lower blepharoplasty
may be worth considering.

Because the surgical method changes
depending on the condition of the under-eye area,
when looking at lower blepharoplasty reviews,
it is important to first check whether
the person’s pre-surgery condition
is similar to yours.
Rather than simply thinking,
"They had lower blepharoplasty,"
you should look at it based on,
"Is that person’s eye condition similar to mine?"
Today, for those who are considering surgery,
I explained what many people are actually curious about,
namely, which surgery is suitable
depending on the degree of sagging under the eyes.
In the end, the important thing is
accurately understanding which stage
your current under-eye condition is at.
Whether the problem is only fat,
whether the skin has also stretched,
and whether there is also muscle sagging
will determine the appropriate surgery among
lower eyelid fat repositioning, dual lower blepharoplasty, and lower blepharoplasty.
That is why, no matter how many firsthand accounts you read,
the most certain way is ultimately
to receive an in-person diagnosis.
Director Kim Hyun-jo of Obje Plastic Surgery
carefully examines the condition of the under-eye tissue
and takes a comprehensive look at the state of the fat, skin, and muscle individually,
making it the foundation of treatment to suggest
the most appropriate surgical method
for that particular eye.

If you have roughly gotten a sense of things
through lower blepharoplasty reviews,
I recommend confirming through an accurate diagnosis
which surgery is right for you.
This has been Obje Plastic Surgery.
Thank you.
