Participates in the 2024 MEDICON Festival!

On June 12, the Korea Medical Tourism Promotion Association successfully held the inaugural “2024 Medicon Festival” at B&VIIT Eye Hospital near Gangnam Station, the center of Korean medical tourism, to promote K-medical tourism.
This event brought together domestic and international medical experts and influencers to discuss innovation and development in the medical field, and Bonbon Plastic Surgery also participated in the “2024 Medicon Festival,” carrying out various activities.

For reference, MEDICON is Korea’s first premium healthcare platform operated by the Korea Medical Tourism Promotion Association.
This platform connects medical professionals and customers to provide comprehensive medical services based on Korea’s advanced medical system. In particular, medical institutions located in the Gangnam and Seocho areas offer a variety of foreign-language services and customized concierge services to attract international clients, contributing to Hallyu 4.0.

This event was hosted by the Korea Medical Tourism Promotion Association (KMTPA), jointly organized by MediVision Co., Ltd., X-Preve Co., Ltd., and Ekeis Co., Ltd., and successfully held with support from various sponsors including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Tourism Organization, and the Seoul Tourism Organization. The attendees included 20 embassies in Korea, around 50 foreign influencers in Korea, and more than 30 people from the medical tourism industry.
The Korea Medical Tourism Promotion Association (KMTPA) is a non-profit incorporated association under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It was established by specialized hospitals in various fields such as ophthalmology, dermatology, plastic surgery, dentistry, hair restoration, and Korean medicine clinics to provide high-quality medical services and tourism information to foreign visitors coming to Korea for medical tourism, and to enable various medical institutions to collaborate and offer tourists a one-stop experience of diverse medical services.

Participating medical institutions, including Bonbon Plastic Surgery, prepared for the event in the following ways.

Promoting each medical institution and arranging free consultations and examination reservations so that influencers open to collaboration could be identified

Providing promotional materials for the medical institutions (brochures, posters, amenities, etc.) and promotional videos

Presenting a long-term roadmap and collaboration direction by sharing successful cases of influencer collaboration marketing

Creating Instagram collaborator invite posts to encourage event attendees to participate


The response to the event was truly enthusiastic, and it was also a meaningful occasion where domestic and international medical experts and influencers gathered to discuss innovation and development in the medical field.
In particular, ambassadors and embassy staff in Korea from various countries including Thailand, Myanmar, Zambia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Iraq, Qatar, Congo, and Laos, as well as influencers from more than 40 countries including the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Austria, Russia, Mongolia, Thailand, and Turkey, were invited and added to the occasion.

Through this “2024 Medicon Festival,” Bonbon Plastic Surgery and the other participating medical institutions are expecting the following effects.

This Medicon Festival was a meaningful event where domestic and international medical experts and influencers came together to discuss innovation and development in the medical field.
Since more people attended than expected, we felt that foreign interest in Korean medical services is very strong, and with Bonbon Plastic Surgery’s active participation, it is expected to contribute to strengthening the global competitiveness of domestic medical institutions and expanding Hallyu 4.0.
