Glow Injection: When Can You Wash Your Face and Exercise?

Immediately after a Glow Injection treatment, the skin may feel bumpy on the surface, as if it has been embossed. This usually settles naturally within a few days (individual differences may apply). You can wash your face 1–3 hours after treatment, and it is recommended to apply makeup lightly starting the next day. For one week afterward, avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, Korean-style heated rooms, hot baths, drinking alcohol, and smoking. Heat and irritation may place stress on skin that is still recovering. Thoroughly applying moisturizer and sunscreen can also help with recovery.

Re2O: Managing Water Exposure and Body Temperature Is Key

Because Re2O is administered by injection, it may cause stinging pain, and embossing (raised, uneven marks), swelling, and redness may appear for around 1–2 weeks (individual differences may apply). After treatment, take care not to let water touch the treated area for at least 3–4 hours. Light face washing and makeup are possible after that or starting the next day. It is also best to avoid activities that raise your body temperature, such as saunas and strenuous exercise, for one week. Since a sudden rise in body temperature may irritate the treated area, it can be helpful to move a little more slowly than usual during this period. Re2O is generally recommended at least three times at intervals of 3–4 weeks. The results generally last around three months after one treatment and around one year after three or more treatments (individual differences may apply).

Belotero Revive: The Key Is Not Rubbing the Area

Because Belotero Revive is also an injectable treatment, stinging pain and embossing may remain for several days. Even if these feel like temporary side effects, they are generally reactions that occur naturally during the recovery process (individual differences may apply). It is best to avoid washing your face and applying makeup on the day of treatment and begin the following day. In particular, avoid forcibly pressing or rubbing the treated area, as this may affect how evenly the injected material settles. When washing your face, gently cleanse the area with a patting motion. Belotero Revive is generally recommended at least three times at one-month intervals, and it usually lasts around six months to one year (individual differences may apply).

All three treatments share the same basic principle of avoiding heat, irritation, and pressure. Although the specific times and periods vary depending on the treatment, the basic approach is the same: do not irritate skin that is still recovering.
