The World’s No. 1 Golf Course Was Truly Different (feat. 2026 Masters Tournament)

During this business trip to the United States,

I visited a place that every golfer dreams of visiting at least once.

I attended the 2026 Masters Tournament in person.

The venue was Augusta National Golf Club,

located in Georgia, United States.

If you enjoy golf,

you probably feel excited just hearing the name.

This was also a tournament

I had wanted to attend at least once for a long time.

This time, I was also fortunate enough to have the opportunity

to look around Berckmans Place,

an area that is not easy to experience.

After experiencing the Masters in person,

rather than only watching it on television,

I could immediately understand on-site

why this tournament is on so many golfers’ bucket lists.

The World’s No. 1 Golf Course Was Truly Different

The moment I entered Augusta National,

I had one immediate thought.

It felt less like entering a golf course

and more like entering an entire world.

Perfectly maintained grass,

well-organized pathways,

and even the merchandise shops—

nothing had been made carelessly.

It was amazing to be walking around the course

that I had only ever seen on television,

but what impressed me even more was

that although tens of thousands of people had gathered there,

it never felt crowded or chaotic.

The spectator routes, restaurants, and rest areas,

right down to the smallest service,

ailed together into one natural experience,

and not once during my time there

did I feel uncomfortable.

After visiting in person, I naturally understood

why so many people say it is a tournament

that they want to attend at least once in their lives.

Standards That Have Remained Unchanged for More Than 90 Years

The thing that impressed me most

about this year’s Masters

was not the golf itself,

but the way it was operated.

The tournament has continued since 1934,

but instead of following trends,

it has consistently upheld its own standards.

It is designed so that spectators can focus entirely

on the competition itself,

and it does not easily compromise

even on the smallest details.

These standards have accumulated one by one

and created the Masters we know today.

As I looked around the venue,

I found myself thinking that business is ultimately similar.

Creating new things continuously is important,

but a brand needs standards that it can uphold over time

if it is to survive for the long term.

If I had to choose one experience

from this business trip to the United States

that will stay with me the longest,

it would be the 2026 Masters Tournament.

More than simply seeing the world’s best golf course,

it was a chance to see and feel firsthand

how a brand loved for more than 90 years

creates special experiences for people.

I think this feeling

will stay with me for quite some time.
