[Hump Nose Osteotomy + Bulbous Tip Correction]
Hello.
This is Director Yoon Hyun-cheol of A+ Nose Surgery, a clinic that values honesty.
This patient has a hump in the middle of the nasal bridge,
with a drooping nasal tip and enlarged, wide nasal tip alar cartilage,
making it a bulbous nose case.

The hump was reduced and osteotomy was performed
to bring the nasal bridge bones closer together, and rhinoplasty was done using septal cartilage
and ear cartilage.
The spread-out alar cartilage was repositioned,
creating a slimmer and more feminine
nose shape.
In most cases, a hump nose is caused by trauma or genetic factors,
or by a combination of both.
In cases caused by trauma, a deviated septum is often present internally,
which can make breathing through the nose difficult,
so it is recommended that this part
be corrected at the same time during surgery.

When a hump forms due to trauma,
in nearly 70-80% of cases, the person does not remember injuring the nose.
In many cases, the injury happened in childhood, or
it seemed insignificant at the time, but
over time a hump developed
and a deviated septum also occurred.
Women with a hump nose may make a first impression of looking stubborn,
or they may appear a little older than their actual age,
which can be a negative factor,
so improving this to create a more feminine impression
can be helpful.
That concludes this Hump Nose Osteotomy Surgery Review.
