Hello, this is Ahnplus from Oji Nose Plastic Surgery.
These days, the pursuit of natural results has become a trend, so we receive many inquiries about non-implant nose surgery.
We hope this will be helpful for those considering non-implant nose surgery, and this is a real case from our clinic involving non-implant nose surgery for a man.
What Is Non-Implant Nose Surgery?
This is a procedure performed without using artificial implants such as silicone or Gore-Tex for the nasal bridge.
When considering nose surgery, the biggest concern is the inflammation/contracture symptoms that may occur after surgery.
In most cases, postoperative inflammation in nose surgery comes from the artificial implant that was inserted.
Therefore, in the case of non-implant nose surgery, the likelihood of inflammation is significantly lower.
So, if you are worried about possible inflammation after nose surgery and want to undergo a natural nose surgery that looks like your original nose, we recommend non-implant nose surgery.
Cases in Which Non-Implant Nose Surgery Is Possible
-
When the existing nasal bridge is already relatively high, so there is no need to use an implant
-
When the existing nasal bridge is not very high, but only tip surgery is performed due to reluctance toward implants

In this patient's case, the nasal bridge was high, but the nose tip was turned up and looked blunt. He also had a deviated septum and rhinitis/nasal valve issues, so rhinitis surgery was performed at the same time.
The nostrils were not wide, but the nostrils that looked spread out from the front were

naturally corrected during the process of extending the nose tip length and firmly fixing it with autologous rib cartilage to correct the turned-up nose.

Dr. Yoon Hyun-cheol’s Surgery Notes
Septoplasty and nasal valve correction were performed at the same time.
To lower the turned-up nose tip, the skin was relatively thick and the septal cartilage was weak and small, so instead of using septal cartilage,
autologous rib cartilage was used to lengthen the nose tip.
A+ Non-Implant Surgery Point
Because non-implant surgery does not use silicone, there can be a difference in height between the nose tip and the nasal bridge.
To address this difference, autologous rib cartilage was processed very thinly and grafted so that the nasal bridge and nose tip would connect smoothly.
Surgery Time
Rib cartilage harvest: 40 minutes
Nose surgery time: 1 hour 40 minutes
Recently, more and more people have been preferring a natural nose line without a foreign-body sensation, so the proportion of non-implant nose surgery is expected to increase in the future.
That concludes our introduction to a real male non-implant nose surgery case. We hope this article was very helpful for those considering surgery. Thank you^^
