Correct a long nose and look younger

Hello. We are Ogico N Plus, dedicated for 16 years to caring only about your beautiful and healthy nose.
This time, we would like to explain a case in which a person transformed into a younger-looking image through long nose surgery.

When people usually think about rhinoplasty, if the nose is low, upturned, drooping, has a hump, or is crooked, they may consider changing the shape of the nose, which is the center of the face, to improve their overall image. In particular, when the nose has a drooping, elongated shape, many people feel stressed about its appearance because it can make them look older, and more people are looking into long nose surgery in detail as a way to improve it.

What is long nose surgery? A nose that appears long overall, or a nose tip that droops downward, often because the septal cartilage has developed beyond average and the nose has become longer overall in a arrow-like shape, or because of the development of the alar cartilage at the tip. Correcting this can be called long nose surgery.

Therefore, the characteristics of people who look into long nose surgery include cases where the tip droops and looks like an arrow nose, cases where the nose is too long compared to the length of the face, cases where the angle between the nose tip and the upper lip is small because the tip droops, cases where the tip gradually droops as people age, and cases where there is no improvement at all even after long nose surgery. Overall, the shape of the nose often creates a strong impression and an older, more aged appearance.

At Ogico N Plus, to ensure safe and satisfying long nose surgery, we accurately identify the cause of the long nose through preoperative 3D-CT scans, internal endoscopic imaging, various allergy tests, and nasal internal function tests. Based on the analyzed data, we perform long nose surgery using materials and methods tailored to each individual.

Because each person’s nasal structure and condition are different, long nose surgery methods are divided according to the individual’s condition. These include cases where the alar cartilage at the nose tip is excessively large, cases where the septal cartilage is drooping, and cases where the cartilage at the nose tip and the lateral nasal cartilage are gradually separating. Accordingly, the surgical methods are divided into cases where the septal cartilage is developed, cases where the alar cartilage at the nose tip is developed, and cases where the nose tip droops severely when smiling.

In addition, at Ogico N Plus, we correct not only the septal cartilage length and nose tip cartilage, but also the depressor septi nasi muscle that pulls the nose tip downward, allowing long nose surgery to be performed so that the tip does not droop even when smiling.

For long nose surgery in cases where the septal cartilage is developed, part of the end of the septal cartilage is removed to correct the length, and if additional correction of the bridge and tip height is needed, implants or autologous cartilage are grafted.

For long nose surgery in cases where the alar cartilage at the tip is developed, the size of the cartilage is adjusted by resecting and resuturing the alar cartilage, and when the cartilage is re-grafted, the drooping angle is rotated upward before grafting.

For long nose surgery in cases where the nose tip droops severely when smiling, the muscles around the nose tip (the depressor septi nasi) are shortened, and then the overall bridge line is corrected while the nose tip line is designed using autologous cartilage.

The materials used in long nose surgery include silicone for the bridge and autologous cartilage for the tip correction. Autologous cartilage may include ear cartilage, septal cartilage, and autologous rib cartilage, and the surgical method is customized to the individual through preoperative examinations.

When silicone is used for the bridge as needed, we do not use a pre-made commercial silicone implant as-is. Instead, we carefully refine it by hand to match the individual’s overall image as well as the bridge’s width, length, breadth, and height, which minimizes an artificial look after surgery and leads to greater satisfaction.

As such, long nose surgery can be considered a relatively complex procedure because two or more surgical methods are applied. Therefore, those looking into long nose surgery may find it helpful to make their decision only after carefully checking whether the medical team has strong anatomical knowledge of the nose, whether they have abundant relevant experience and expertise, whether equipment is available to accurately examine the nose, and whether aftercare can be reliably guaranteed.

At Ogico N Plus, Director Yoon Hyun-cheol personally handles every step of the process one-on-one, from consultation related to long nose surgery to surgical planning, procedure, treatment, and follow-up care, allowing you to receive a higher level of medical service from before the surgery through after it.

For aftercare, we issue an N Plus membership card and provide an A/S system that guarantees one year after surgery. In addition, we operate a surgery responsibility guarantee system in preparation for any postoperative pain, inflammation, or dissatisfaction with the appearance that may occur, allowing for safer and more satisfying long nose surgery.
