Hello. I am Dr. Jo Wonjin, and I have been seeing patients for 10 years.

Because the weather is dry, I’ve been getting a lot of inquiries about skin boosters.
Among them, today I’d like to explain the differences between Skinvive and Rejuran.
Both procedures are excellent skin boosters, but their mechanisms and effects are completely different.
Under the topic “Skinvive vs. Rejuran: A Full Comparison of Effects, Treatment Frequency, Pain, and Duration,”
I’ll compare them in detail so you can choose the treatment that best fits your skin condition.

Table of Contents
- Differences in effect: smooth radiance vs. skin regeneration
The two procedures play different roles within the skin.
Skinvive: “Radiance and elasticity at the same time”
In simple terms, you can think of it as an “upgraded long-lasting version of a skin booster that gives a dewy glow.”
If your biggest concern is rough skin and makeup not sitting well, Skinvive is suitable.
It does more than simply add moisture.
When a small amount of hyaluronic acid is injected into the skin,
it not only holds moisture but also promotes collagen production.
Thanks to that, rough skin texture becomes smoother,
fine wrinkles and elasticity improve, and a subtle inner glow appears across the face.

Rejuran Healer: “Recovery of damaged skin”
On the other hand, Rejuran focuses on treatment and regeneration.
For those whose skin barrier has weakened and who turn red with even slight stimulation,
or who are concerned that their skin is naturally thin, Rejuran is the better option.
That’s because it increases the density of the dermal layer, helping the skin become fundamentally firmer and stronger.

2. Pain and downtime: “The depth and viscosity are different”
This is the most practical part when deciding on a procedure.
This difference comes from the injection depth and the product’s characteristics.
Rejuran Healer
(Painful / embossed bumps occur)
Rejuran has a relatively high viscosity (stickiness) in the formula itself,
and for effectiveness, it is injected into the shallow layers close to the skin surface.
Because it affects the shallow layers where many nerves are distributed,
and because the sticky product is pushed through the skin tissue as it enters, the pain level tends to be fairly high.
In addition, due to its high viscosity, bumpy embossed marks can remain for several days.
If you are planning to get Rejuran, please be sure to refer to the post below.
You wouldn’t want to endure all that pain only to get no effect.
Skinvive
(less pain / almost no embossing)
Skinvive is injected slightly deeper than Rejuran, into the lower dermis and the area beneath it.
Because it acts in deeper layers with relatively less nerve stimulation,
and because the product contains an anesthetic ingredient (lidocaine), the pain is much lower.
Also, thanks to its ability to spread smoothly deep within the skin, embossed marks that protrude to the surface are almost nonexistent.
A quick return to daily life is one of its major advantages.

3. Duration and treatment interval: “lasting power of more than 6 months”
Skinvive:
1 treatment, lasts about 6 to 9 months
The biggest strength of Skinvive is its efficiency.
Usually, the effects last about 6 to 9 months after a single treatment.
It’s a very appealing option for people who find it hard to visit a clinic frequently.

Rejuran Healer:
About 6 months with 3 intensive treatments
Rejuran is based on the idea of building up the skin’s basic strength, so repeated treatments are important.
Usually, when received intensively about 3 times at 3- to 4-week intervals,
the duration tends to be around 6 months, and you can feel that your skin has become firmer.

If you had to choose between Skinvive and Rejuran: summary
You may be 고민ing a lot while comparing the two before treatment, but neither one is absolutely better.
In the end, the recommendation changes depending on your skin condition.
| What is my concern? | Recommended treatment | Reason |
|---|
| My skin texture is rough and makeup sits poorly. I want inner glow and hydration. | Skinvive | Hydration replenishment, improved elasticity/fine wrinkles (lasts 6–9 months) |
| My skin is thin and sensitive. I want to strengthen it from within. | Rejuran Healer | Strengthens the damaged skin barrier and supports regeneration |
| I don’t like pain or marks left behind. | Skinvive | Relatively deeper injection + less pain/less embossing |

If you’re torn between these two procedures, rather than searching online, the fastest way is to visit the clinic in person and show your skin condition.
Whether the issue is dryness or damage to the skin barrier, an accurate diagnosis is only possible when a doctor examines and feels the skin directly.

You should receive treatment from a place that carefully checks the patient’s skin condition,
and prescribes only what is truly necessary without unnecessary exaggeration^^
Such places have a few characteristics.
I’ve organized them in the post below.
Thank you. This has been Dr. Jo Wonjin.
