With Shurink Universe, the real question is 결국, “How many shots should I get?”

But if you decide based only on the number of shots, you may end up spending money and getting only vague results.

1. Shurink Universe principle

Shurink Universe is a device that delivers ultrasound energy to the fascia layer beneath the skin.

The principle is to contract the fascia layer and induce collagen regeneration, which lifts the face.

“Universe” refers to the upgraded second-generation version.

While the previous Shurink delivered shots in a dot pattern,

Shurink Universe delivers shots in a line pattern, as shown below, allowing for more detailed thermal stimulation.

The left side in the photo above is the conventional dot pattern, and the right side is the line-pattern energy mode.

The treatment speed is 2.5 times faster, and the pain is much less.

It also comes with a pen-type Ultra Booster handpiece,

so delicate treatment is possible even in narrow, curved areas such as around the eyes and nasolabial folds.

As shown in the photo above, it has become possible to perform more delicate treatment even on the thin skin around the eyes.

2. Shurink Universe 300 shots vs 600 shots

A “shot” refers to the number of times ultrasound energy is delivered once.

If it is delivered 300 times, that is 300 shots; if 600 times, that is 600 shots.

The key point is that as the number of shots increases, the range over which energy is delivered also expands.

300 shots are suitable for focusing on specific areas such as the eye area and jawline,

while 600 shots can cover the entire face evenly.

However, twice as many shots do not mean exactly twice the effect.

The perceived result changes depending on where and how the shots are placed.

Even with the same 600 shots,

there will be different results depending on whether they are distributed evenly across the face or concentrated in areas with severe sagging.

3. Cases where 300 shots are suitable

300 shots are suitable for the following people.

1. People with very little facial fat

People with thin skin and little facial fat who proceed with a high number of shots too aggressively

may develop hollow cheeks (a peanut-shaped face).

2. People who want improvement only in specific areas

When you want to lightly refine only a certain area such as jowls, a double chin, or a weakened jawline,

rather than the whole face, this is appropriate.

3. Beginners to lifting procedures

When sagging is not yet severe and you want preventive care or a light improvement in firmness,

it is a cost-effective way to start before moving on to expensive treatments such as Ulthera.

4. Cases where 600 shots are suitable

On the other hand, the following are cases where 300 shots may feel insufficient, so 600 shots or more are recommended.

1. People with thick skin and a lot of facial fat

To penetrate a thick subcutaneous fat layer and improve firmness, sufficient energy is needed.

2. People with pronounced double chin and jowls

When a lot of fat is distributed throughout the jawline,

it is better to allocate enough shots and deliver them densely to achieve a clear V-line effect.

In some cases, as shown below, you may need Sculpting Injections or contour injections rather than Shurink alone.

The case in the photo above also had insufficient energy with Shurink alone, so fat size was reduced together through Sculpting Injections.

3. When managing the full face and neck wrinkles at once

If you need overall tightening of the entire face, including the forehead, eye area, nasolabial folds, cheeks, jawline, and neck,

you should consider 600 shots or more.

I previously performed a 1,000-shot full-face treatment targeting the superficial layer.

5. What matters more than shot count

To be honest, more important than the number of shots itself is where and how they are placed.

Which areas of my face have the most sagging, how much subcutaneous fat I have,

and how thick the skin is all affect the choice of cartridge and the treatment depth.

Even with the same 300 shots, if this is properly designed, the effect can be very different.

So rather than comparing only the shot counts listed on the price sheet,

it is much better to ask during consultation, “How many shots are appropriate for my face?”

Q. How painful is it? Is sedation anesthesia necessary?

A. One of the biggest advantages of Shurink Universe is that it causes very little pain.

Universe feels like a slight tingling or mild stinging sensation.

In most cases, 20 to 30 minutes of topical anesthetic alone is enough to make the procedure comfortable,

and sedation anesthesia is rarely needed.

Q. When do results appear, and how long do they last?

A. You may feel your skin tightening even immediately after the procedure.

However, the true lifting effect (collagen regeneration) becomes most noticeable 1 to 2 months after treatment.

The duration varies from person to person, but it usually lasts about 3 to 6 months.
