Why Iseurf Uses a Dedicated Eye-Area Tip for Wrinkles Around the Eyes

If you’re getting Cerf treated on another area,

can’t you just have the eye area treated with the same tip too?

Unfortunately, for the eye area, you need to use the dedicated eye-area tip to see a clear improvement in fine lines.

The reasons Iseurf uses a dedicated eye-area tip for wrinkles around the eyes are

1. the contours around the eyes and 2. the size of the tip.

For those wondering, “Do we really need a separate dedicated tip?”

Today I’ll explain the following in an easy-to-understand way:

Why do wrinkles around the eyes appear so early?

The eyes are the area where wrinkles appear first on the face.

The reason is skin thickness.

The skin around the eyes is about 0.5 mm thick, which is 2 to 3 times thinner than other facial skin.

It also has fewer sebaceous glands, so it dries out easily, and when you add the tens of thousands of blinks per day,

collagen and elastin disappear quickly.

That’s why, as we age, fine lines, crow’s feet, and under-eye sagging become noticeable first around the eyes.

Because this is such a thin and sensitive area,

it’s important to approach lifting procedures in a way that suits the eye area.

What kind of device is Iseurf?

Cerf is a monopolar radiofrequency lifting device, and it is also called a less painful Thermage.

Unlike existing radiofrequency devices, including Thermage, which use only the 6.78 MHz frequency,

this device can additionally use a 2 MHz frequency.

In simple terms, it means energy can be delivered deeper.

There is a separate mode that mixes the two frequencies, as shown in the photo.

And the energy itself is delivered in a divided way,

with cooling gas coming out continuously in between (up to 12 times per shot).

So people who can’t tolerate the hot pain of Thermage tend to find Cerf more comfortable.

In addition, the tip is 1.5 times larger than the existing Thermage tip,

so even 600 shots can deliver the efficiency of 800 shots.

But when treating the area around the eyes, that becomes a slight(?) drawback.

The image above shows the different tip types. Compared with the existing Thermage tip, it has 1.5 times the area, so it offers good value in terms of shot count.

Why does Iseurf use a dedicated tip around the eyes? (Function and effects of the eye-area dedicated tip)

The standard tip has an area of 6 cm²,

and is designed to efficiently deliver energy to larger areas such as the forehead, cheeks, and jawline.

But the area around the eyes is different.

1. Because the eye area is narrow and has many curves The area around the eyes is not flat; it has many curves and is close to the bone.

With a large, wide tip, it is difficult to deliver energy carefully even to fine lines in the under-eye groove or at the outer corners of the eyes.

Using a smaller dedicated tip makes it possible to perform a thorough treatment without gaps.

Iseurf’s dedicated eye-area tips are 0.5 cm² and 1 cm²,

so the area is much smaller than that of a standard tip. (One-twelfth, right?)

If you compare the tip sizes in the photo, you can see that they are much smaller than the standard tip.

2. Because energy needs to be adjusted to suit thin skin The area around the eyes has the eyeball right next to it, and the fat layer beneath the skin is also very thin, making it a sensitive area.

Using a dedicated tip with a smaller surface area allows

the shots to be placed more densely in the same area, enabling a more even and delicate treatment.

Because the practitioner can precisely control the range over which energy is delivered,

it is possible to protect the sensitive tissues around the eyes while increasing the wrinkle-improvement effect.

Even when using a dedicated eye-area tip, energy delivery still needs to be adjusted to match this thin skin.

In general, many people see good results with Iseurf in the following cases:

The photo above is of a case where I personally had Shurink done around my eyes. Even with Shurink, energy can be adjusted like this to improve wrinkles around the eye area.

Q. I have an important event next week. When will the effect start to show?
