Hello. I’m Dr. Jo Wonjin, and I have been practicing for 10 years.

I’m worried it might look unnatural if the filler is done wrong.
When people look into forehead filler to improve a flat or lackluster forehead,
many of them hesitate to decide because they are concerned about excessive volume or side effects.
Today, I’ll talk about the topic, “3 Things to Check to See the Effects of Hongdae Forehead Filler.”
To get satisfying results from Hongdae forehead filler treatment, it’s good to check the following three things.
-
Choosing the injection layer to prevent side effects
-
Taking a conservative approach to the amount
-
Precise molding and aftercare
If you spend just 3 minutes and read today’s post to the end, you should be able to prevent stress from results caused by excessive treatment.

Key Summary for Seeing the Effects of Hongdae Forehead Filler
- Accurate injection-layer targeting to prevent unevenness
The forehead is the widest area of the face, yet the skin is thin and closely attached to the bone.
It is also home to the powerful frontalis muscle, which is constantly moving when you open your eyes or make facial expressions.
If the filler is injected into a layer that is too shallow,
it may shift with muscle movement or appear bumpy on the surface.

That is why, rather than injecting a large amount at once, it is important to carefully assess the movement of the muscles and choose the right injection layer.
A process that evenly places the product in a deep and safe layer just above the bone is essential.
That helps prevent the filler from moving or protruding unevenly.

- Customized volume design considering muscle movement and asymmetry
People who contact us online often ask, “How many cc of forehead filler do I need?”
However, everyone’s forehead width, bone curvature, and degree of brow-bone prominence are different.
Especially if there is already asymmetry, the amount needs to be distributed differently on each side in order to achieve balance.
That’s why, when injecting filler, the overall symmetry should be checked continuously along the way to achieve a detailed and well-balanced result.

Then does matching symmetry alone solve everything? Not quite.
The line extending toward the temples, and even the angle toward the glabella and bridge of the nose,
must also be considered.
Only by designing the volume with the overall harmony of the face in mind
can the forehead avoid looking overly pronounced while naturally covering only the less desirable parts.

- Delicate molding and aftercare to prevent side effects
Once the customized amount has been injected into the correct layer, the final step is molding to refine the shape.
This is a delicate process of using fingertip sensitivity to spread the product evenly without any clumping.
This needs to be done carefully so that you can remain satisfied with the result for a long time.
(That’s why I always wear a wrist brace...)

Also, for about a week after the procedure, you should avoid pressing a hat down tightly or rubbing the treated area hard.
This is to prevent the filler from spreading before it has settled.
The area in the photo above should be protected as much as possible to reduce the risk of blood vessel damage.
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Does forehead filler hurt a lot? I’m worried about bruising.
To reduce the risk of nerve and blood vessel damage, we use a blunt-tipped cannula and, when necessary, carefully perform local anesthesia to ease discomfort.
However, depending on each person’s skin condition, side effects such as swelling, bruising, and, in rare cases, inflammation or vascular compression may occur, so we recommend proceeding only after sufficient consultation with the medical staff.
Q. I got forehead filler done wrong and the shape looks strange. Can it be removed?
Filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.
Dissolving filler is much more painful than injecting it, so it is important to receive a detailed procedure with a good filler in the first place.

Key Summary for Seeing the Effects of Hongdae Forehead Filler
To summarize what I explained today,
for successful Hongdae forehead filler, securing the correct injection depth,
customized volume design that considers the harmony of the entire face,
and precise molding and aftercare are the key points.

Please receive treatment from a clinic that carefully identifies your original facial line and the areas you are concerned about, and performs the procedure in a balanced way.
Thank you. This has been Dr. Jo Wonjin.
