Hello. I’m Jo Won-jin, the director of Chai Clinic, where I have been providing dermatology care in Hongdae for 10 years.

There are many dermatology clinics near Hapjeong Station.
Why are the prices so different?
They have a lot of special offers. Should I try Botox once?
There are many dermatology clinics around Hapjeong Station, and prices vary widely, so you may also want to receive treatment at a reasonable price.
However, Botox is not a one-time treatment. It is repeated every 3–6 months, so there are things you can miss if you choose based only on the price list.
In fact, quite a few patients regularly visit our clinic to receive Botox.
Today, I’ll summarize the criteria you should look at before the price when receiving Botox at Hapjeong Station.

Hapjeong Station Botox: Choose based on these three factors
Botox is not something you receive “just once”—you continue receiving it
Botox effects usually last around 3–6 months, and if you are satisfied with the results, you receive it again.
In other words, Botox is not a one-time purchase but a treatment for ongoing maintenance.
Just as you choose one hair salon and become a regular customer, choosing a place that knows your face well can lead to more consistent results with Botox as well.
So what really matters is not “How much does it cost this time?” but “Is this a place I can continue visiting for ongoing care?”
The details of where and how many units were injected during the previous treatment, and how effective it was, need to accumulate.
That way, the dosage and injection locations can be adjusted more precisely to your face during the next treatment.

The dosage may not be exactly right during the first one or two treatments, but as feedback accumulates, it gradually becomes optimized for you.
On the other hand, if you move from place to place every time in search of the cheapest option, it is like starting over from the beginning each time, making it difficult to build on your satisfaction with the results.
And when receiving Botox, one of the most important things to consider is resistance.
The product used should vary depending on the situation, the treatment area, and the dosage.
For someone receiving Botox for the first time, someone who regularly receives high doses over the long term, and someone whose results have diminished after receiving a particular product,
shouldn’t the product and dosage be different for each of them?

In addition, even when I consistently treat a patient with one product,
I sometimes use a method of switching products from time to time to reduce the risk of resistance.
(Botox products are manufactured by many companies, and there are slight differences between companies.)

The photos above show Xeomin Botox and Coretox Botox. In addition, Botox is produced by numerous other manufacturers.
Wouldn’t this kind of management be difficult if your treatment history were not recorded?
This is why I emphasize the importance of receiving treatment consistently at one clinic while steadily accumulating your treatment data.
What you miss when choosing based only on Botox price
Some people come to us for correction after deciding based only on the price list and saying,
“My eyes feel heavy,”
“My expressions look unnatural.”
The problem is that Botox remains in your face for 3–6 months, so if it is administered incorrectly, you have no choice but to wait for it to wear off.
If you receive an inexpensive treatment that is ineffective or causes side effects, you ultimately end up paying for correction as well as dealing with the associated stress.

In particular, be cautious of phrases such as “unlimited cc” or “unlimited dosage.”
Cc only refers to the amount of diluted liquid. If the solution contains only a small amount of toxin—what is sometimes called diluted Botox—the effect may be weak, meaning you may need treatment more frequently.
In some cases, a treatment advertised as 5 cc contains an unreasonably small amount of toxin.
So when looking at the price, be sure to check the number of units for each treatment area as well.
Instead of asking “How many cc?” ask, “How many units are included?”
Even if it seems inexpensive at first, if the effect wears off quickly and you need frequent treatments, it may actually become the more expensive choice over the course of a year.

Hapjeong Station Botox: Choose based on these three factors
- Does the doctor who will perform the treatment personally examine you and record it in your chart?
Make sure it is a place where the doctor who will administer the injections—not just a consultation manager—personally examines your muscles and records the dosage and results in your chart to apply to the next treatment.
If consultation and treatment are handled separately, it can be difficult for the design plan to be conveyed accurately.
The more data accumulates, the better the results can become.
This is what chart management means.
- Do they consider the variables specific to your face (asymmetry and elasticity)?
Nine out of 10 people have some degree of left-right asymmetry.
The muscles on each side can develop differently depending on chewing habits, sleeping position, and the expressions you make frequently.

However, injecting the same dosage on both sides can actually make your expressions look uneven, so fine adjustments may be needed—more on the stronger side and less on the weaker side.
Also, if you have reduced skin elasticity and receive only square-jaw Botox, the loss of the supporting muscle strength can cause the jawline to lose definition and sag.

(Some people visit the clinic after receiving Botox incorrectly and experiencing more prominent jowls and marionette lines.
Even though they absolutely should not have received Botox, there are occasionally people who come to us after undergoing the treatment.)
The side effects of jaw Botox mentioned above are discussed in more detail in the article below.
A place that considers your individual variables, adjusts the dosage accordingly, and recommends complementary treatments such as lifting when necessary is preferable.
- Do they explain the side effects and limitations honestly?
Botox cannot completely smooth out wrinkles that are already deeply etched.
Botox helps prevent wrinkles from becoming deeper, while wrinkles that have already become established are often better suited to treatment with filler to restore volume.
They should clearly assess whether Botox is likely to be effective for your face and explain it honestly, so you do not spend money unnecessarily.
I believe they should tell you when treatment is not appropriate rather than recommending it unconditionally.

Closing thoughts
In summary, in the long run, Hapjeong Station Botox is more beneficial when received at a place where you can continue visiting for ongoing care, rather than at the “cheapest place.”
Of course, a reasonable price is important.
However, receiving an unsuitable treatment, struggling with repeat or complementary treatments, experiencing stress, and incurring additional expenses...
I don’t think these things could be called reasonable.
I want to emphasize that a place that remembers your face and continually refines your treatment can make a significant difference in your satisfaction one year later.

Before comparing prices, check the three points above,
and during your consultation, discuss which areas of your face would be best treated and with what dosage.
