Rituo’s principle: It is about “filling,” not “stimulation”

Most skin boosters work by stimulating the skin and encouraging it to “produce collagen on its own.”

(This is the principle behind various skin boosters, including Juvelook and Rejuran.)

Rituo (Re2O) takes a different approach.

It directly replenishes actual components of our skin, such as collagen and elastin.

You can think of it as rebuilding the foundation of skin that has become thin and sunken with age from the inside by adding real materials.

Because these are components that were originally present in the body, they tend to cause less concern about rejection and naturally take hold within the skin.

When the thinned inner layers are densely filled, the dermis becomes firm again, fine lines become less noticeable, elasticity improves, and dryness is reduced.

Rituo involves less concern about nodules and lasts longer

This is where one of Rituo’s major advantages comes in.

Treatments such as Juvelook use substances that “induce” collagen production. If they collect in a particular area, excessive collagen may be produced, which can lead to hard nodules.

Rituo, on the other hand, directly adds collagen components found in the human body, so there is relatively less concern about nodules caused by this type of abnormal overgrowth.

For this reason, it is also generally used with relatively little burden in thin areas such as under the eyes and around the mouth.

The difference becomes even clearer when comparing it with Rejuran.

Rejuran tends to be quite painful,

whereas Rituo is less painful and, after completing the recommended number of treatments—usually three—the effects tend to last for six months to more than a year.

The volume may be filled temporarily, but that volume does not continue to last.

Similarly, some of the Rituo material may settle and become part of your skin, while some may not.

Filling volume to the extent desired is the role of fillers, so when the purpose is different, it is appropriate to recommend a different treatment.

How to receive Rituo effectively

Rituo is a treatment involving less concern about nodules, but that does not mean it can be injected arbitrarily.

The results and natural appearance depend on the practitioner’s ability to place it evenly at the correct layer.

In particular, if it is injected too superficially in thin areas such as under the eyes and around the mouth, the material may show through and appear raised.

That is why the technique of evenly spreading it through the lower dermis using a blunt-tipped cannula is important.

The dosage must be allocated according to each treatment area based on your specific concerns, with the balance adjusted before injecting it evenly.

For this reason, choosing a clinic with extensive experience in filler or skin-booster treatments and a practitioner with strong technical skills may also be an option.
