Because the incision area is also relatively large, recovery and pain are not negligible.

In contrast, lifting through procedures is performed without incisions or sutures, so it places less physical burden on the body.

Also, because it does not lift the skin as much as a facelift, it can be performed in the early stages of aging, when skin sagging is not severe.

However, there are times when you want a greater effect than a procedure can provide, but a facelift feels too burdensome.

That is when mini lifting can be helpful.

Relieving the burden of lifting

This method is a surgical lift performed with an incision, but because the incision line and area are small, it places less physical burden on the body.

In general, a facelift involves making an incision that runs from near the temples, to the front of the ears, along the earlobe line, and behind the ears, following the hairline, and then lifting everything evenly.

However, mini lifting makes a small incision inside the scalp near the sideburn area and pulls the sagging jawline upward to secure it.

Because the incision area is small, swelling and pain are less pronounced.

The scar is also hidden by the hair and not visible.

Still, since it is a surgery involving an incision, you may worry about side effects.

Common possible side effects include hair loss, swelling, and pain around the incision site.

However, in most cases, these are temporary.

How long does the surgery take, and who is it recommended for?

Mini lifting, which combines the advantages of facelift and procedure-based lifting, is an easy lifting option that can be applied broadly to concerns such as under-eye wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and loss of elasticity.

Although it may vary slightly depending on the individual, the surgery takes about one hour and allows a quick return to daily life.

Also, because it physically lifts sagging areas through incisions, it has a longer-lasting effect than procedures.

It can be helpful for cases such as deepening nasolabial folds caused by sagging cheek fat, facial asymmetry due to different degrees of skin sagging on the left and right sides, sagging around the eyes, or a face whose overall contours look less defined.

For that reason, it is recommended for people in their early 30s, those whose wrinkles are just beginning to appear, those who do not have much time, and those who find a facelift burdensome but want a greater effect than a procedure can provide.

The existing first-generation method involved making a 1–2 cm incision inside the hairline, and once the area healed, the sutures had to be removed.

The custom method, developed to improve safety even further, reduced this inconvenience.

While reducing the incision area to 0.5 cm, it uses dissolvable sutures, so there is no need to return to have stitches removed.
