Hello.
I am Lee Seong-jun, the chief surgeon representing Liting Plastic Surgery in Seoul.
Many patients who are considering lifting or facelift surgery
worry about things like,
“What if the marks or scars after surgery
remain for a long time?”
“What if the recovery period is too long
and becomes inconvenient?”
and hesitate to undergo the procedure because of these concerns.
Today, I will introduce the mini lift,
which can help ease your concerns about surgical marks and swelling.

What is a mini lift?
A mini lift
is a procedure in which a small incision of about 2 cm is made near the sideburn area inside the scalp,
and the sagging jawline is pulled upward, secured, and sutured.
Compared with a facelift,
a mini lift involves a shorter procedure time, a smaller incision area,
and a relatively faster recovery,
so you can return to daily life more quickly.

How much improvement is possible with a mini lift?
① Crow’s feet wrinkles
If the cause of wrinkles around the eyes is sagging,
they can be improved to some extent with lifting.
However, in the case of deep crow’s feet wrinkles caused by loss of elasticity,
a mini lift alone may not be enough to improve them,
so we recommend consulting with a doctor
and choosing the appropriate procedure or surgery.

② Nasolabial folds
Traditional mini lifts
used a horizontal incision and pulled the fascial layer from bottom to top,
focusing on improving the lifting effect along the jawline.
In contrast, the Smile Mini Lift,
which is performed through a small incision near the sideburn,
pulls the facial fascial layer diagonally,
holding the central midface area in place,
so it can improve not only nasolabial folds but also fine wrinkles around the eyes.

Procedures that work well with a mini lift
[Dual-Method Thread Lifting]
Conventional thread lifting
is performed by pulling only the dermal layer close to the skin,
so the maintenance period is short and foreign-body sensation can occur easily.
On the other hand, dual-method thread lifting
inserts threads without incisions using a dual method in both the dermal and fascial layers,
then ties the midpoint and fixes it firmly,
while also lifting the sagging retaining ligaments,
so when performed together with a mini lift,
you can expect good results.
I will conclude today’s post
by asking you to refer to the mini lift information introduced today,
and make your decision carefully based on more accurate information. 😊
