Hello.
I’m Director Lee Seong-jun of Liting Plastic Surgery, Seoul Branch.

As time passes and aging begins,
many people are looking for ways to improve
a sagging facial line, drooping cheeks,
deepening nasolabial folds,
and more pronounced neck wrinkles.

To address these concerns,
some people choose facial lifting surgery,
which is one surgical method.
A facelift is a major surgery in which incisions are made from inside the head to in front of and behind the ears
to lift a sagging face caused by aging,
dissecting the facial fascial layer and retaining ligaments.
Although procedures such as Ulthera and Botox are available,
many people are not fully satisfied with the short maintenance period.
In contrast, facelift surgery tends to offer higher satisfaction because of its relatively long-lasting results.
However, it is also true that it has the disadvantage of a large incision area and a heavy recovery burden.

Today, I would like to introduce Liting Mini-Lifting,
which reduces the burden of incisions and recovery
while still offering high satisfaction with result longevity.

Inside our face,
more than 60 muscles cover the bones.
As aging begins among these muscles,
the muscles that are no longer firmly attached to the bone
begin to sag downward first.

The layer above these muscles
is called the fascial (SMAS) layer.
The fascia is a very important part of lifting.
It extends from the neck to the face and forehead,
and is composed of elastic fibers, collagen fibers, and fat cells,
making it a key area involved in skin sagging.
Mini-lifting is a surgical procedure that reduces the incision burden compared with a facelift while providing a greater lifting effect than non-surgical procedures.
By pulling up the stretched skin and fascia,
it carefully dissects the sagging fascia, which is a major cause of skin laxity,
and lifts and fixes it in the direction that matches the skin texture.

To explain the surgical method in more detail,
a mini-lifting procedure is performed through a relatively small incision area compared with a standard facelift,
about 2 cm.
The stretched SMAS layer
is pulled upward from below and secured,
the sagging skin is removed,
and sutures are fixed to the periosteum.
Then the procedure is completed with closure.
The surgery time is also relatively short, at about one hour,
and recovery to daily life is fast enough that you can shampoo, swim, and use a spa the next day.
If you are worried about side effects,
you can feel reassured for the following reason:
if hair loss symptoms were to occur at the incision site,
we help ease hair loss through recovery injections,
and if swelling or pain is severe,
we help support faster recovery with Hylight laser.
Mini-lifting
combines only the advantages of facelift surgery and procedure-based lifting,
and may be helpful for those who feel that lifting is needed in the middle and lower face,
such as sagging cheeks, nasolabial folds, and the overall facial line,
as well as those in the early stages of aging who have fine wrinkles but feel improvement is needed.

For those who want even higher satisfaction,
dual-method thread lifting, in which threads are inserted into the dermis and fascial layers respectively and tied and fixed at the midpoint,
and various procedures such as Botox or liposuction,
which can make the face relatively lighter and make lifting easier,
may also be helpful.

Please refer to the mini-lifting information introduced today,
and I hope you make your decision carefully
based on more accurate information.
That concludes today’s post 😊
