Fat grafting method for cheek augmentation

| 1. Fat is harvested from areas where it is abundant, such as the lower abdomen, waist, or thighs. - Because local anesthesia (painless sleep anesthesia) is used, there is no pain at all. - A thin liposuction cannula is used to collect the fat into a syringe. |

| 2. The harvested fat is placed in a centrifuge to obtain pure concentrated fat. The purpose of centrifugation is to remove unnecessary components, reduce side effects of fat grafting, and increase the fat graft survival rate. |

| 3. After centrifugation, moisture and oil are removed in a second concentration process. By removing moisture and oil, nearly 100% concentrated fat is obtained. The fat is measured into 1cc syringes in the needed amount. For facial contour correction, about 10 to 20cc of concentrated fat is usually required. |

| 4. The fat is grafted into the anesthetized area. Fat grafting is performed after the tunneling process creates space for the fat to be grafted. The clinic uses its own micro-needle (micro-injection cannula), developed in-house. The micro-needle is a special grafting cannula used only by this clinic, enabling ultra-precise grafting. The principle of fat grafting is to distribute the fat evenly across the grafted area so it does not clump, while maximizing the survival rate as much as possible. |

Effects of the fat grafting tunneling technique

Rather than injecting a large amount into one area with the tunneling technique, we perform three-dimensional micro fat grafting using 100% concentrated fat, layered evenly and uniformly.

A delicate and meticulous injection method allows for customized design.

Fat grafting also includes a process called “tunneling,” which allows the grafted fat to stay in contact with the abundant surrounding blood vessels as much as possible so it can continuously receive nutrients.

Tunneling means creating space for the fat just beneath the skin using a micro-needle. Because space is made as if drilling a tunnel and the fat is then injected afterward, the area does not sag in the direction of gravity or become uneven even after all the fat has been placed.

The tunneling technique also includes a dissection process for wrinkles, so because fat is grafted beneath the dissected wrinkle area, wrinkles improve more clearly than with fat grafting at other clinics.
