Review of a Satisfying Double Eyelid Revision After Fat Grafting on the Upper Eyelids!!

Because this was a double eyelid revision surgery, I searched a lot and made a consultation list of doctors who are good at revision surgery before going in for a consultation.

In this patient’s case, there was an existing double eyelid line, and as they got older, the fat above the eyes decreased,

so a new line had formed above the original one.

In cases like this, where the eyelid skin is thin and there is little fat,

multiple double eyelid lines can appear.

Another possibility is that multiple lines can form as the strength used to open the eyes weakens.

In such cases, the sunken eyelid should be addressed first,

and only later, after checking the shape, should double eyelid surgery be performed. It is not possible to do both at the same time.

Even if it can be done, the double eyelid surgery will not be performed properly.

This is similar to construction work for a house, where groundwork and other infrastructure tasks must be done first

before building the house on top of it.

For this reason, this patient first underwent fat grafting to the upper eyelid to improve the sunken eyes,

and then, 3 months later, after the graft had taken hold, revision surgery was performed again to define the double eyelid line.

Because the sunken eyes were improved first through fat grafting,

the double eyelid line was formed and settled into the desired shape, and the patient was very satisfied.
