News has arrived from Minish Dental Hospital.
Hospital Director Kwak Hae-sung earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Chosun University, formally proving through research the bonding method that is at the core of Minish treatment.
This doctoral process was by no means an easy journey.
For about 2 years and 6 months, Director Kwak commuted between Seoul and Gwangju every week while balancing classes and research, with a cumulative travel distance of about 78,000 km. That is equivalent to circling the Earth twice, clearly showing his determination to secure academic evidence.
The starting point of the research was clear.
It was to prove with data how reliable the materials and bonding method used in Minish treatment actually are.
Minish Bonding Method, Reliability Proven by Data

The paper compared the one-step bonding method (APF+Silane) used at Minish Dental Hospital with the conventional two-step method (HF+Silane).
The experimental results showed high bonding strength for both methods, and the numerical results confirmed stable performance with no major difference. In other words, the Minish method currently used in clinical practice has been academically verified as sufficiently reliable.
This study is especially meaningful because it examined the bonding process from multiple angles through various methods, including electron microscope analysis, surface chemical structure analysis, and surface roughness testing. It can be seen as an example that connects clinical practice and research by scientifically explaining the stability of an unseen bond.
In addition, since there had been almost no bonding-related research data using Minish blocks in Korea, these results are also meaningful in filling that gap.
It is also a process that elevated a method already used in practice from simple experience to evidence.
The Direction of Minish Proved by Director Kwak Hae-sung

Director Kwak Hae-sung said that through this research, he was once again able to confirm the direction Minish has been pursuing. He plans to continue expanding the evidence for Minish treatment through ongoing research.
Minish Dental Hospital will continue to prove the value of its tooth restoration solution, based on preservation of natural teeth and restoration of function, through data and research.
