Actor Kim Ji-seok shared his experience with Minish. He is set to show a new transformation in the Netflix film 〈Husbands〉, scheduled for release this coming June, and recently spoke candidly about how his daily life has changed along with his natural smile. Actor Kim Ji-seok, who has been active for more than 20 years, explained that he viewed the Minish process not simply as an aesthetic procedure, but as self-care and a choice related to his health.
“Apparently, I was the only one who hadn’t done it”

The biggest reason Kim Ji-seok decided to undergo Minish was the people around him.
Seeing the bright, natural smiles of fellow actors and close acquaintances he works with made him curious. As he spoke with them directly, he learned that many people had already experienced Minish. He said it was particularly striking that a culture of natural self-care had taken root not only in the entertainment industry but also among his friends outside the industry.
“People just hadn’t talked about it, but apparently many of them had already done it.”
He then humorously described the atmosphere around him and made people laugh.
“These days, it feels like the people around me are divided into those who are married, those who play golf, and those who have had Minish.”
Not simply a change, but a ‘process of rebuilding the foundation’

Kim Ji-seok compared the process to remodeling an old house.
He explained that it felt like repairing the basic structure from the ground up rather than simply changing the exterior.
He said it became an opportunity to examine his oral health overall, including cavities and the condition of his existing dental restorations.
“If you compare it to an old house, it felt like replacing the flooring.”
He added that because dental health is directly connected to daily life, it was much more important care than he had expected.
“I feel confident right before I smile, rather than when I smile”

The most striking part of Kim Ji-seok’s Minish experience was his story about ‘confidence.’ It is easy to focus on the result of having a bright smile, but he said that after experiencing it himself, he felt something slightly different.
“I don’t feel confident when I smile—I feel confident one second before I smile.”
He explained that the greatest change he felt was the psychological comfort of being able to smile naturally at any time. In fact, many people become conscious of when to smile or cover their mouths because of the condition of their teeth. Kim Ji-seok said he also felt much more at ease in that regard.
“Dental care is health care”
Kim Ji-seok also shared his thoughts on the view that dental care is merely a form of external grooming. He emphasized that although men in particular often perceive dental care as something purely cosmetic, it is actually important care connected to health.
“I think dental care is not simply cosmetic care, but health care.”
He also said that his daily life had changed in ways beyond a change in his smile. He had come to feel different levels of comfort when meeting people, naturalness in moments when he smiled, and confidence in himself.
Looking forward to his new 모습 in Netflix 〈Husbands〉
