Hello,
This is V.N Plastic Surgery.
Depending on the nose line and shape,
the impression and mood of the face,
a sense of overall three-dimensionality
can look different,
so many people want to
improve the bridge and shape of the nose
through rhinoplasty.
Because the nose is an important organ
that allows us to breathe,
it is important to carefully follow
the medical team’s precautions
after nose surgery.
Many people often ask about
whether they can wear glasses
after rhinoplasty.
Of course,
those who already wear glasses
naturally wonder whether it is okay to wear them
after nose surgery,
and from when
they can be worn.
Today, I will briefly explain
the different nose lines
and let you know about
the timing for wearing glasses after rhinoplasty,
as well as the actions you should be careful about.

Although the desired line differs
from person to person,
the representative nose lines are
straight, slightly curved, and semi-upturned.
A slightly curved line
with a curve,
natural and graceful,
A straight line
that extends smoothly
from the bridge to the tip of the nose,
A semi-upturned line
that rises in a half-upturned shape,
creating a lovely look.
V.N Plastic Surgery
designs a nose line tailored to each person’s facial shape
through individualized surgical methods.

There are a few things to be careful about
after rhinoplasty.
Because the silicone used in rhinoplasty
is positioned at the center of the nasal bridge,
it must remain stable
until it has fully settled in place,
and care must be taken
so that no external impact or irritation
is transmitted to it.

Among these,
patients who need to wear glasses
often ask when they can
wear them after rhinoplasty.
It would be nice if glasses could be worn right away,
but immediately after nose surgery,
there is swelling and inflammation,
so it is best to avoid touching the area around the nose as much as possible.
If you wear glasses right after rhinoplasty,
they may be light,
but they can still put pressure on the nose,
and because the nose pads rest on the area where the silicone is placed,
they can have a direct effect.
For that reason,
we recommend wearing them after one month.
If the nose surgery was performed
with an osteotomy,
we recommend avoiding glasses for about 6 months.
If you absolutely must wear glasses,
you may consider fixing them to your forehead
with medical tape.
Another option is to use contact lenses,
but if you are using them for the first time,
you may need an adjustment period,
and in the early stage after rhinoplasty,
swelling may also occur around the eyes,
which can make wearing contact lenses uncomfortable.
Because each person’s condition is different,
you must decide whether to wear glasses
through consultation with the medical team
at the hospital where you had the surgery.

In addition to wearing glasses,
there are several other things to be careful about
after rhinoplasty.
Rubbing the nose or touching it with your hands,
sleeping face down,
sneezing forcefully or blowing your nose,
laughing excessively,
or opening your mouth wide when yawning
are all actions you should be careful to avoid.

V.N Plastic Surgery puts patient safety and quick recovery first
through a post-rhinoplasty safety system and aftercare.
That is why the chief surgeon,
a graduate of Seoul National University,
performs the surgery,
selects the implant that is appropriate
for each individual’s face and condition,
and takes full responsibility for the patient’s surgery
one-on-one from start to finish.

We will help you find confidence and joy
through beautiful changes.
