A Broken Molar: A Safe and Strong Implant Placement Method at Sadang Station Dental Clinic

When we took the initial X-ray, only the root of the upper molar remained.

A fairly large fracture was present, and the surface had been lost.

The area where the fracture was observed may have allowed bacteria to enter through the cracked gap, increasing the likelihood that the inner tissue was infected.

A lesion had also spread near the pulp.

The pulp is the area where blood vessels and nerves are distributed. So if this area becomes infected, a sharp, throbbing sensation and tooth sensitivity every time you drink water may occur.

Because molars play an important role in chewing, it is best to improve the condition as soon as possible so they can perform their function properly.

Digital Implant Guide

The broken tooth could no longer be saved, so extraction was necessary. Fortunately, once the inflammation was removed, immediate placement after extraction was possible.

The extraction was carried out simply, and a fixture (which acts as the tooth root) was placed right in that position.

In this process, using a digital implant guide allows the implant to be placed in a more accurate position.

After the alveolar bone regains stability, the prosthetic restoration is placed.

Checking the treatment progress with the final X-ray

During this process, we take another X-ray to check whether the inflammation has completely disappeared and whether the implant has settled well in the bone.

The area where the inflammation had occurred has become clean, and the implant can be seen placed accurately.
