Sillim Dental Clinic, Seoul Remember
I’m Director Park Jeong-gi.
When you look in the mirror, where does your gaze go first?
The answer is none other than the [front teeth].
Because they are visible when speaking and smiling,
even a small change can make a big difference in your impression.
That is why, when the front teeth are even slightly crooked
or have darkened in color,
people may feel self-conscious,
and even without anyone pointing it out,
they tend to remain subtly on your mind.
As a result, people who are approaching major life events such as
weddings or wedding photography,
those who speak often with others,
or those whose jobs require them to stand in front of people
have probably thought about this concern at least once.
If you are worried about your front teeth,
The case I’ll show you today at the Sillim dental clinic
had similar concerns.

Among the six upper front teeth,
one of the left central incisors was slightly protruding,
and overall the teeth were on the darker side in tone.
In cases like this, it can affect not only aesthetics
but also the overall impression.
There are various reasons why the color appears dull,
but lifestyle habits such as diet, coffee, and smoking
are among the main causes.
Treatment plan
For anterior teeth that are visible from the front,
how the treatment plan is established is extremely important.
'How many teeth should be improved,
how should the color be adjusted,
how many visits are possible,
what budget is being considered,
and what are your thoughts on reducing natural tooth structure?'
Of course, the patient may not have thought deeply about all of this,
but at Sillim Dental Clinic,
because these are permanent teeth that must be used for life,
we think carefully and thoroughly before beginning treatment.
In this case,
to address the problems in the six upper anterior teeth,
we chose an approach that appropriately combined
'crowns' and 'laminate veneers.'
Rather than simply grinding down all the teeth and placing artificial restorations,
the key was to preserve the natural teeth while still achieving a noticeable improvement.
Front-tooth laminates have the advantage of requiring little to no tooth reduction
or only minimal reshaping,
but when the teeth are significantly protruded
or when some adjustment to alignment is needed,
the scope of the restoration may need to be expanded somewhat.
So after sufficient discussion with the patient,
the two maxillary central incisors were restored with crowns to achieve balance,
and the lateral incisors and canines on both sides were restored using a method called 'Realinate.'
Realinate at Sillim Dental Clinic is made thin and delicately,
literally to look like real teeth,
allowing for a natural result with almost no reduction of the natural tooth structure.
A satisfying result
I’ll show you the state after all treatment was completed
at Sillim Dental Clinic.

In this case, to match the details,
the treatment was completed over about three visits,
but it can sometimes be done in as few as two visits.
Can you tell at a glance that it changed?
By restoring the teeth to a shade brighter than the original,
the complexion of the face itself became much brighter,
and with the left-right symmetry corrected,
a stable impression was achieved.
Previously, the teeth felt small and dull,
but now the shape has also been organized,
and the overall harmony has improved.
Above all, since the lower teeth are barely visible when smiling,
it was sufficient to focus on the upper jaw alone this time.
By improving only the necessary areas without excessive procedures,
this case reduced the financial burden
while increasing satisfaction.

2025.06.20 ~ 2025.07.16
The influence of front teeth is greater than you might think.
Even a slight change makes the expression clearer,
brightens the impression,
and because they are such a visible area,
both satisfaction and dissatisfaction with the result appear very clearly.
Dental treatment can feel
scary or like a big undertaking,
but I would like to say that this is not the case at Seoul Remember in Sillim.
You do not necessarily have to grind down every tooth;
you can preserve the natural teeth
and still achieve enough satisfaction.
Also, if you make a specific plan by considering various factors such as the patient’s situation,
a quotation based on financial burden,
distance from the hospital,
the number of possible visits,
and the period in which you want the treatment to be completed,
you can get a result that is as satisfying as the investment.
I think today’s case at the Sillim dental clinic
is a good example of that.^^
Thank you for reading.
I’ll be back next time with a better topic.
