Sadang Dental Clinic: Once-a-Year Insurance Scaling Cost, Price, Pain, Time, Meals, and Drinking for Tartar and Stain Removal

If anyone reading this has not yet had scaling done this year, please come in as soon as possible before it gets any later and receive insurance coverage before December 31.

Also, since there are many patients at the end of the year, we recommend making a reservation in advance before visiting.

Insurance scaling

This is a benefit provided by the state to promote the oral health of the public, allowing tartar to be removed once a year at a reasonable cost.

It is available to both National Health Insurance subscribers and dependents, and can only be applied once per year from January 1 to December 31.

Cost

If insurance coverage is applied, for a clinic 기준 on weekdays it is about 17,800 KRW.

If it is performed on the same day as a National Health Insurance oral examination conducted by the government, the cost is slightly lower.

So it is best to do it while you are already here for an examination.

On weekends, there is a small surcharge compared to weekdays, but it is still available for under 20,000 KRW, so

I hope you will protect your precious teeth, which you need to use for a lifetime, by investing just 20,000 KRW.

Pain

Many people postpone scaling because they worry it will hurt or feel sensitive.

At Sadang Dental Clinic, I would like to emphasize that this is absolutely a misunderstanding.

As the tartar that was firmly attached to the tooth surface comes off, you may feel a brief sting or short-term sensitivity, but there is no major pain to worry about.

If a patient’s oral condition is very poor, or the gums have receded and sensitivity is expected,

gargle anesthesia or local anesthesia may be used before the procedure, so there is no need to worry too much.

Time

The procedure usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

The cleaner the inside of the mouth is, the shorter the time may be.

Among the patients who come to Sadang Dental Clinic, many are office workers or students, so some leave because they do not have time,

but since it does not take more than 30 minutes, please visit whenever it is convenient for you and be sure not to miss it.

Meals and drinking

Many patients ask whether they can eat freely on the same day, whether there are any restrictions on eating,

and especially whether they can drink alcohol.^^

To briefly explain at Sadang Dental Clinic, after simple tartar removal, you can immediately return to daily life, and there are no major precautions.

However, there may be slight discomfort in the gums for a day or two, but this naturally improves over time.

Drinking alcohol on the same day is not prohibited. However, after any treatment, the mouth tends to be a little sensitive, so we recommend starting with soft, lukewarm foods.
