홍대 스킨보톡스 부작용이 걱정된다면?

"I'm looking into skin Botox because of my skin texture and pores..."
“Doesn’t Botox make your face stiff?”
These days, when the weather is hot, pores can widen and sebum can be overproduced, making makeup more likely to lift.
When people have these concerns, one treatment they often look into is called “skin Botox.”
However, during consultations in the clinic, many people confuse skin Botox with regular Botox,
and often worry that “their face will become stiff” or “their facial expressions will look unnatural.”
So today, to help ease those concerns, I’ll explain the exact mechanism of skin Botox, the treatment cycle, and the precautions in detail.

How is it different from regular Botox?
Does getting Botox make your face stiff and unnatural?
This is the first concern many people have.
But skin Botox works differently from the muscle Botox people usually think of.
Regular Botox is injected deep into the facial expression muscles to suppress muscle movement.
In contrast, skin Botox involves injecting botulinum toxin in very small amounts and broadly across a very shallow layer of the skin, close to the dermis.

So unlike regular Botox, which paralyzes the muscles,
skin Botox is used by injecting very small amounts into the surface layer of the skin to help tighten pores, soften fine lines, and improve skin texture.
Because of this, rather than making facial expressions stiff or movement unnatural,
it is a treatment that helps the skin texture look more refined and the pores less noticeable.

How often should I get it?
The effect of skin Botox varies depending on a person’s skin type and lifestyle,
but changes usually begin to appear gradually 2 to 3 days after the procedure and often stabilize within 1 to 2 weeks.
The effects typically last about 2 to 3 months on average, and many people repeat the treatment every 3 to 4 months if needed.

The reason there is a recommended treatment interval is that, over time, the effect of botulinum toxin gradually wears off.
If you have sensitive skin or a history of dermatitis, we strongly recommend undergoing the procedure only after an in-person examination and consultation.

What about side effects and recovery time?
Because skin Botox uses a small amount of botulinum toxin and is injected superficially, the risk of side effects is relatively lower than with regular Botox.
However, redness or mild swelling may occur after the procedure, and in most cases it naturally subsides within 1 to 2 days.

Of course, it is not a treatment that causes major disruption to daily life, but if you have an important schedule coming up, we recommend planning the timing with some extra room.
Hongdae Skin Botox is not very irritating, but if it is performed without an accurate skin diagnosis, satisfaction may be lower.
Therefore, we recommend discussing and deciding after enough consultation whether it is the right treatment for your skin condition, and whether the cycle and dosage are appropriate.
